I mean I know Mac is an atheist, but if heaven were real, why wouldn't you wanna go? Maybe I'm missing something about the song... A little help for understanding? Thanks.
@SotaKid33 keep me with you forever.. keep me in you. dont let me go.. i wont wanna go to heaven because you can take me with you, in you, in your heart.. but, everyone has their own interpretaion.. i guess that's just mine..
I had to watch my step mom who I was very close to waist away and die a slow miserable death and now im haveing to do it again with my mother. I have a hard time haveing to just sit back and watch these strong woman in my life die so young and it pains me to hear the words come from her mouth "God please when will you take me"
Words. Fuckibg almost too reel for listening pleasure. I really have loads of respect for u sweetie. Come have some Shepards Pie with me homeycloverdown. Xoxo
/watch?v=iPC2UMFA8uk <--- It's a band called Nightclub Fight Club, the song features Mac Lethal doing a rap during it. They both need way more fame. LISTEN TO IT. If the link doesnt work, its called Burning the Book (feat Mac Lethal) by Nightclub Fight Club.
I sit here mastering tons of tracks from wanna-be's. That I get all the time. A chick sent me a link to check out your flow. I'm feelin' it like sunshine bouncing off the snow. Keep it up. Its fresh to hear hear what somebody's heart is sayin... and not just a bunch of words that are shallow and empty, choreographed to find a dollah. Yo hollah. I'll master your tracks on my dime. facebook LionCross1 ... later.
It's terrible how much I can relate to this song- my mom passed away from lung cancer when I was 16. It weird how such a sad song comforts me, knowing that I'm not the only one dealing with this pain. So much emotion in this song. Mac just tells it how it is. That's why to me he is the essence of true, genuine hip/hop. Thanks for everything Mac.
The first time I showed MAc Lethal to my friend, her first reaction was, "Do you really understand how deep this stuff is?", as though I'm some shallow preppy little whore. I understand it alot better than she does......
to all those people that tell you hip hop is only about guns, weed, and partying. this proves them wrong. this is what real hip hop is. emotional and meaningful lyrics about life. whether the good times or the struggles. this is inspirational. mad props to mac lethal
my father died december 19th 2008, the last time i saw him was Nov 2004. he ment the world to me, he was suffering before he died for a few months atleast thats what my family tells me. we flew down to arkansas the 21st for his funeral, i couldnt cry because i knew he wanted me to be strong, but ever since he passed i havent been the same, i'm 16 and the worst part is i'm preparing to do the same with my mom shes a very bad alcoholic, mac your music has literally changed my life.. thank you
my mother had a heart attack and triple bi-pass surgery and my father is dying from liver cancer. so i do not know how much longer i will have them in my life. i am blessed to have them for as long as i can but i still shed tears for your lose Mac Lethal because one day hopefully not soon i to will be ashamed of myself as where you sir.
My mom had/has cancer, she survived but in 3 months it can be over... I never cried when she was in the hospital, when she was depressed for 6 months but now I listen to this song... fucking hell.
I know about you from scribble jam and the whole battle seen. The reason most of battle rappers aren't successful with their music is because there not rapping about who they really are and how they really feel. Mac, you however are, and that's why me and all these others love your music. Stay true.
@fettt420 Many songs in post-hardcore, screamo, and selective metal show as much or more emotion than is depicted in the area you designated. This song is amazing though.
This isn't a troll reply, honest; but if you'd of taken a look at my account, you'd see I listen to a LOT of deathcore, mainly more then anything. Most of those bands scream and growl, I do too. I also rhyme. I honestly have still never heard a song with more emotion put into it.. Not singing, not country, not "emo". Nothing. It's how you express it my dude. You can say I love you, but you can say I love you and mean it, and it means a whole different thing
@fettt420 Yeah. I didn't check your account out. I saw it as your opinion and challenged it with my own, though it seems I stated it as fact... Anyways, listen to Saetia; late 90s screamo. One of the establishing bands of the genre... Unfortunately, they broke up quickly after some EPs and Splits. They have a compilation album called A Retrospective which I highly recommend you try to download/buy if you wanna give OG screamo a try. I get your point though.
Oh and another song you should listen to is "Nothing we say leaves this room" by The Bled. When it gets to the rapture part you can feel what he's saying. But idk... Deathcore tends to tread on the same general path. The output isn't exactly "emotional" as much as it is about getting a point across, though there are exceptions. Besides, I guess I can't accurately account for hc/metal having the most emotion. I only listen to hc/metal and rap, so there could be songs in other genres with more...
@youknowhoo Hahaha I actually agree 100% with everything you said, and that's an amazing song my dude. It's nice to see some of the HxC community that isn't full of shit talking teenagers with rage problems.
@fettt420 Word. I'll try and stay away from the cliches but I think arguing over the internet is pointless, even though sometimes succumb to the assholes that do it. But yeah, I grew up listening strictly to rap but rock in video game montages eventually tempted me into exploring the genre until I ultimately was listening to deathcore... I gave up on rap for a while and was only listening to all types of metal and started UG/OS rap again shortly after. Guess I was bred different than the rest.
My mother just recently passed away. I am the same age that Mac was when he lost his mother. This song makes me cry every time. Keep it real Mac. Mad respect.
I mean I know Mac is an atheist, but if heaven were real, why wouldn't you wanna go? Maybe I'm missing something about the song... A little help for understanding? Thanks.
