I am surprised that Dr Bauer is not even mentioning the treatment with Lucentis, which has been approved by EU since January 2007. I have been treated with injections of Lucentis for over 2 years and my vision on the eye that was treated in time, that is - as soon as possible, is amazingly good. My vision on the eye that was treated too late, maybe months too late, is very inferior. No reading possible on that eye. I live in France and we have excellent treatment for AMD in this country.
