Thats great...we don't even use a regular water bowl anymore, because of the mess ours makes. He just rests his head in the sink and waits for someone to come fill it up...too funny. Glad others do it too!

I don't brush my teeth alone. My dogs drink as I brush. You can teach them to use the ice maker dispenser on the fridge also. Just be sure it's set to ice, not water.

I have a Dane. She's blue just like the one in this video, and my neighbor has a Rat Terrier. They are the best of friends. While we walk around the neighborhood, my dog (Jala) protects the Rat Terrier (Dexter) whether he needs/wants it or not. It's quite a sight. Get a Dane, preferably a rescue. It'll get along with your Rat Terriers.

although it can be painfull and may look cruel, cropping a dogs ears will help keep the ears clean of infections. without moisture within the ears bacteria cannot grow. you just have to look at the pros and cons of it, but to tell you the truth we didn't crop our great dane's ear either

I got this particular blue dane at a Great Dane resuce in Norco, CA. I adopted him from "Gentle Giants Rescue." It was well worth the trip and quite the experience. I highly recommend them if you want a dane! They even have puppies too...
