I Doubt military equipment,weapons and solider armor will be that pathetic in 500 years like it is in the halo series,the UNSC marine armor looks very similar to the new military soldier of the future amor,that all soliders will be using starting 2025.

And seeing how the military has maintained short hair cuts (especially for combat personnel) for over 2300 years now it's a safe bet that in the 26th Century if we're still wearing helmets and using ballistic weapons (hilarious) then yes, short hair will be standard. I could do better, if I were a loser with money and time. Now go back to your daddy's shed, gimp.
