In Albert Speer's Inside the Third Reich, he recounts an incident in which he and his father were attending a Nazi party and so he introduced his father to Hitler and when they shook hands his father looked as if he'd been struck by lightening, that he basically turned to jelly and was full of fear. He said he never asked his father about it but thought it was very strange.
My thinking is that his father was a decent man but shook hands with the devil, thus the finger in the light socket effect

@699backstab Actually Hitler was believed to not be Christian at all. He simply used it as a way to manipulate the Christian majorities into killing the minorities. Thus, was the way he convinced the German Christians to invade the non-Christian countries. Basically he is doing what the pope did 800 years ago, which was convincing the crusaders into invading the middle-east aka "The holy land" .
