Brian May gets a really unique tone through what he uses for a pick. He uses an english penny, for a pick. Thats why when he hits a not you can hear him actually hit it. Plus a load of treble pedals.

@villadavid4ever he's barring the top 3 strings then hammering on two notes to make another chord. that little part on 5:50 is a classic classic classic guitar chord/riff that everyone does. Same concept in funk #49 and about a dozen other songs.

so.... i'm going to be the dick here... This is only about 50% of how brian may plays this part. Marty is an awesome teacher but almost every time he covers a solo.. he's not playing it right. Missing notes, missing when there is is bend.. Not too big of a deal that some of the notes are in the wrong position but sometimes the differences make enough of a difference to NOT sound like the real deal.

@unzpk he misses playing a couple of notes (brian may just plays the same note twice- like a quick double a couple of times where Marty doesn't) Brian May slides up to notes where Marty doesn't. Brian's uses trill in his run during the later part of the solo and Marty uses just a hammer on and pull off once. The bends are a little different. Overall.. it's not enough of a big deal. Overall its no big deal. If you really care to take a look at Brian May's lesson on youtube.
