I use to buy into the "cheaper gear is fine and dandy" philosophy too but that was until my sisters bought me a custom made $2500 electric guitar built by an american luthier. That guitar is FANTASTIC. Sure.... it sounds like any guitar. Where it differs is in playability, durability and tuning stability. The sustain is fantastic. He chose a perfect block of wood to build my guitar that is very loud and resonant. Everybody loves a cheapie until you play a real guitar made by a real luthier.

The point is this band are synical to being "interviewed about there rig" they probably respect the guitar world and guitarworld magazine so they did make an effort to show there equipment but still expressed there cynicism through the comments they made about there gear.
