God, this had to be the saddest boss fight ever. You're really just putting Psaro out of his misery. It's so sad if the DQV superboss, Estark, really is Psaro. It's left ambiguous in DQV just as what ever truly happened in DQIV is left upto the player. You never really learn if Psaro was killed or if Rose came back and Psaro lived happily with her.

@MagatsutheCalamity Estark was a boss in Dragon Quest IV, as well. He was just much weaker.

@UltraMegaMan100 Thing is, his statements in DQV are left mixed like both Psaro's and Estark's so you never really know who it is. The DQIV post-game was added years after the Super Famicom version and is arguably not canon at all. Psaro may very well have become 'Estark' of DQV and forgotten the truth.

you can fight this boss in DQ9 too. in DQ9 you get to fight all major bosses from the whole series

@deckarx If you want to see more of a struggle, see my Final Fantasy III final boss video. I actually meant to upload a video of my first Saro battle, but assumed there was already a video of it. So I did a little post game stuff and powered up just enough to make this battle easy, and only then did I find no final boss battle. So I made this.

@erererer2 Because Estark and Psaro are technically the same person. Also DQ 4-6 take place in the same place(ish) because the DQ games are in "trilogies" DQ 1-3, DQ 4-6, DQ 6-9 and DQ 10-?.

Btw, was Darkdrium meant to be the final boss in DQ5? Seeing as he shows up as an optional boss in DQ6?

@HeavyMetalBeliever Nope the creators said they were all different continuities people come to the conclusion that they are becauseONE location in the three games is named the same. Have you ever heard the phrase homage?

@pastuiedada Well, DQ 1-3 were in the same continuity and had Loto and his descendants as main characters. 4-6 had Zenithia, not sure about 7-9. So would there be similar stuff but different places, at least in 4-6 and 7-9?

@HeavyMetalBeliever After playing both DQ6 and DQ8, people can see very key similarities. The game's aren't related but I don't believe it's a stretch to say that DQ8 is a 're-done' version of DQ6 in certain respects. A different plot, yes, but the locations are distinctly similar.

I'm nearing this part. I just finished up getting rid of the barriers and right now I'm trying to fight Metal Kind Slimes to level up. I've been finding them every now and then, but they keep running, I've only managed to beat a handful of them. Right now my character is lv36, and I'm thinking of training to lv37 or lv38

i prefer to use kiryl because he has kazing (but have him on dont use magic tactic cause he has liquid metal sword) and have the hero use omniheal to settle the hp to healthiness, and if need be i switch the tactic to revive someone

well, if u want metal king slimes, there all located just outside of Azimuth. use tornekos whistle and sometimes you will encounter some king metal slimes.

that boss was only in the DS version, so hes not the true last boss. In the old nintendo there was only 5 chapters

It's a guy or a girl that you name yourself... I personally called the guy Solo, because that's the name that they gave him in the instruction manual.

There are technically 5. Each of the Characters have thier own story leading up to the point where they meet the Hero (you). And each character i.e Ragnar, Taloon, Nara, Mara, Alena and the Hero are the main characters of their chapters. The main story however, centers around the hero....Mostly. If you're wondering about the names, I used their american Dargon Warrior IV names. Of Course, Alena's and Ragnar's remained intact.
