  • Would you feel safe in this harness against halberd?

  • @lucinqua What about the pitchfork?! NO ONE is safe from the almighty pitchfork! Although... the halberd is pretty useful... and so beatiful! ;)

  • Wo seid ihr Jungs her? Auf welcher Schule habt ihr gelernt? ;)

  • It's funny how plate armour completely changes your fighting style, gives you more freedom

  • @TheodricLives fucking loser

  • @bollox987 Well, thank you for that enlightening and completely required comment.

  • doh, I just realized, of course you're not using halbshwert, only one of you is armoured and the guy with less armor on, I'm guessing he's meant to be unarmoured, can't use halbshwert, since he's not in full armour and especially since you're not in close range. So yeah, Sorry my bad.

  • I hope I don't seem rude or mean. I just want the guy on the right to win ^_^ Go guy-on-the-right-who's-not-in-armor YAY!

  • To the guy on the right in this video: How come you're using a middle to low guard? Unless you're training or practicing to use one, then why not just use a highguard like vom tach (unless you're transitioning from mid to High as he comes in to strike, nice footwork btw ^-^ ). Also, why use strikes on a guy in armor when you can use halbshwert (since that's what it's for). You guys are training with blunts, right? So, practice and use some halbshwert. You're already wrestlin' him to the ground.

  • Amazing maneuver at 1:06! :D

  • Thanks, its a Halfsword disarming technic.

  • HAHAHA

  • 00:35 MY FIST HAS THE POWER OF MANY MEN

  • lol he shanked your ass with your own knige or dagger! lol now thats smart thinkin!

  • haut euch!! echt geil

  • nice one

  • lol nice death:) and good gauntlet parry!

  • by the way, who is the manufacturer of the sword and the dagger? (isn´t it Fabri Armorum from Prague? these weapons look familiar to me)

  • The Armour is a "second Hand" , composed Harness. The cuirass is from Grex, an Czech Armour smith. The rest is from various Armour makers. The Sword is from a Blacksmith, simply known as Jahn.

  • @TheHolyWenzel who made the helm and what kind is it?

  • where do you train at?

  • The armored guy has the upper hand in wrestling, actually. You can break an arm, joints protect arms from ever-extansion, armor is full of spikes and edges, armored guy is heavies and this harder to throw. Besides, one punch from an armored guy and you're done, he is basically wearing knuckles.

  • I rather liked the gauntlet parry there.

  • Get a Bec de Corbin and go through the plate. Problem solved.

  • Go for legs and armpits, charge in and wrestle him down, he's got the disadvantage up close with such heavy armor.

I also recommend using a shield, a parrying dagger or an axe in the other hand for anyone who's wearing light or no armor.

  • To Mr. Plate Armor: very good skills! I'm impressed.

To Mr. Chain Mail: Clever! You're sneaky--good job!

  • Moving helps. Just because you're using a heavy sword doesn't mean linear footwork is a requirement...

    I liked the swordwork, though.

  • Heavy sword? They're what, 3-4lb? 5lb at the most?

  • heavy sword.....even zweihander(great swords) were no more then 6lbs tops(the heaviest one was14lbs but it was for ceremonial purposes). Those look like bastard swords(hand and one half) from here so there no more then 3-4 lbs and the weight is balanced throughout the sword so its not like you feel it

  • Heavy sword meaning, not a fencing sword; just to put that in context. A "heavy" sword being one where the techniques used are those of broadsword combat rather than the quick parries and bladework of a "light" (read: rapier) weapon.
