  • dalene love and the crystals are in the background

  • I used to know a couple girls that could do that little side to side 'wiggle' like Eva does. Oh my......those WERE the days. It makes my eyes roll back in my head just thinking about them......

  • like kylies version better more big sound behind it sorry eva still good performence

  • Excuse me, but is the all thing an analogy to the doggie style sex? It seems quite obvious to me.

  • Just two words for the ones who dont like this oldies songs and the artists, they had something todays so called artists will never have, called talent and they never had to show their ass and tits to get some one to listen to them, loved those long dresses and hip-hugger pants. Thanks for the posting!

  • Im born 20 years to late :(

  • I perfer kylie minogues over this one.. Jus my 2 cents.. ONLY b/c I heard that version way more then this one. B

  • I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG!

  • I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet lady in person. I was so shy I know she will always remeber me , she had a good laugh at the time!

  • i saw Little Eva perform this song when it was popular..on a small stage in a small town in Pa...Back in the day...this was a special thrill to be able to see someone who had such a big hit song, performing it in our little town...I'm not even sure who in the crowd ever heard of her...even then....ty for uploading..

  • From 0:00 to 0:03 I thought I was hearing Born to Run

  • @PinkTeardropos Oh no, it doesn't. You're an idiot, if you honestly believe that.

  • @timnapalm Gotta agree. You just can't beat Little Eva! Love her.

  • @PinkTeardropos Kylie does not have the ability to blow anything away. You obviously like Kylie which clouds your judgement. Kylie could fart this song and you would like it better than this - no one can change that.

  • @MsMrReason Your so wrong about Kylie Minogue clouding my judgement. I don't care for her as a music artist, over all but do like some songs of hers, but and I'm not a fan of her or her music.

  • @PinkTeardropos Sorry you have not said anything to change my original comment - I am just being honest.

  • @PinkTeardropos

I think they all did great with this song(Little Eva, The Chiffons, Grand Funk Railroad & Kylie Minogue). I don't always agree with covers but it seems that this song can be done well in(so far) every way. The same goes for that song: Needles and Pins by The Searchers( The Ramones covered it and my fuck was it a great cover).

  • Great song a classic.

  • That's an amazing haircut. (semi sarcasm)

  • i just love this! retro!!

  • Winehouse could have done a version of this

  • Carole King wrote it. Eva Boyd was a singer who sometimes was Carole's babysitter. I hear Carole's voice when Eva sings it. Could be the phrasing or Carole's throaty sound. Maybe Eva imitated King's demo. Then again, it could just be my imagination.

  • since everbody wants 2 put random comments i thought i would do the same.i love skittles and starburst. r.i.p mike jackson and nate dawg, bone thugs n harmony 4 life. school is out 4 the summer, and little richard rocks. everybody stfu and do the loco motion for me.aha

  • damn, that 60's hair is sexy.

  • gotta love that 60's hair, damn sexy.

  • I remember that 60's look - the big hair, sweaters and stretch pats. Cute!

  • This is the song I sing when I go out for karaoke :)

  • 8 years since she passed away.

  • this is an awesome song and i luvvvvvvvvvvvvvthis song

  • hahahahahahahahahahaha Wu Tang ^_^

  • FUCK WU TANG

  • When I was a little kid, watching "Shindig" with my older brothers and my Mom and Dad was the highlight of my week. Such good memories!

  • RIP TUPAC

  • Little Eva is very cute

  • She's VERY uncomfortable performing...

  • Leon Russell.master of space in time has written more songs than I can name..He has just put out a CD the Union with Elton John,,Leon wrote moste of those...Will also be inducted into the hall of fame in February...KKing Leon..

  • She sang with The Cookies on "Chains"

  • @Rowland108 Ethel "EARL-JEAN" McCrea was the LEAD singer of the COOKIES with Dorothy Jones & Margaret Ross. Little Eva & the Cookies were on the same label, DIMENSION, so it is conceivable that she was singing backup on some of the recordings, but she was NOT a member of the group. The COOKIES, however, did sing backup on Eva's "THE LOCO-MOTION" (#1) & "LET'S TURKEY TROT (#20). DOROTHY JONES passed away 12/25/10 of complications from Alzheimer's at age 76.

  • Fantastic song great video I love the 1960's music.

  • precursor to the Moon Walk?

  • justine bibier must cover this XD

  • DEFIANTELY ON THE RIGHT TRACK;-) IF YOU JOIN THESE GIRLS AND BOYS;-)

CHAINS NOT NEEDED FOR SURE, JUST THE DAISY CHAIN MAYBE;-)

  • lol i tap danced to this when i was little

  • God bless Ike Turner.

  • letra de Karol King

  • Little Eva has a smokin' hot body!

  • LeonRussell played piano on all of the Ronette's hits for Phil Spector... And Spector used him almost exclusively (as "raponte 1955 mentioned). Also... Little Eva used to be Carole King's babysitter! And maybe she needed to go to Darlene Love and Diana Ross's dentist...but if you look closely...wow...smoking hot body!

  • ive been knowin this song my whole life...never knew how to do the dance lol

  • this is old but nice..!

  • wu-tang forever!

  • @scruffyrunkin Say WHAT?! What in HELL do Wu-Tang Clan have to do with THIS?!

  • Comment removed

  • @timnapalm It's not Wu-Tang Clan the rap group but Wu-tang it's a dance in down south

  • @supperlow17

and of course they copied it from everyone elese

  • Man was this dance fun to do ! Little Eva exploded into the NY Rock and Roll scene and everyone loved this song. Stayed on the charts for a long time also.

  • dovrebbero essere cosi anche tutte le canzoni di oggi!!

non ha chissà che gran significato, ma ti mette sempre una grande gioia e posività nell'ascoltarla!!!

    GOOD MORNING MY FRIENDS!!!eheheeh

  • Did Carol King do some of the back up singing?

  • mint song my grandmas fav sing r.i.p xxx

  • Gosh, this brings back some memories of the 'good old days' :- )

  • @nanaslbkp These are the good old days. Eva Boyd can sing better than all the Kylie Minouge's, Mylie Cyrus and Rhianna's put together. And she looks really attractive dressed like that, I dunno if it'd me but she has a good figure and she don't need to wear taarty clothes. Women these days don't know fashion and singing.

  • @Endersfan2t Yh to right

  • Great song.....sweet lady!!!!!

  • This brings back memories, I was a teenager when this song and dance came out.

  • I love this. I remember rushing home from school to watch Shindig and doing this dance while watching it. Now I'm getting to be such an old fossil, that if I tried to shake my hips and jump up, jump back, I'd either break something or they wouldn't go back in place.! Yikes!!!

  • @4everbobby as long as you do with love mate..everything will be fine, and post on youtube for us to see and cheer you up.

  • @boiragirules. Thanks for the words of encouragement, but I don't think there's enough liquor in the world to get this old fossil to film himself doin' the locomotion! There's already enough scary, sad video out there, without me adding that sight!!

  • This song rules

  • them's perky!!

  • Springsteen RIPPED OFF the opening notes of Loco-motion for Born To Run! The opening are exactly the same! LOL!

  • Hehe lissen to "Hot Stuff" with "Donna Summer" then :p

    More alike :D

  • Sharp eyes will recognize Fanita Barrett, Darlene Love and The Blossoms doing backup harmony in that Stage Left cluster of girls...

  • Im doing this with my yorkies!

    Titan

  • yeahh! come baby do the lokomotions XD

  • this song reminds me of high school prom, class mate getting togather to dance to this song, good ole days

  • Take it from this 50s rocknroll&doo wop historian & lover of great music, LOCOMOTION , oh i love it. its immortal , like Mash Potatoe Time, IMMORTAL will outlive us all. its 1962 all over for me. I saw Little Eva perform in later years. she was dynamite. we lost her in 2003. GOD REST HER SOUL, we love you Little Eva and the angels will watch over you. this was music in its prime. bless you. TOMK

  • The 60's diva's had it man. They were sexy and cute. They didn't need to wear hot pants and shake their booty. Cool.

  • @sharvie73 calling the women from back then a "diva" is insulting them. it's best to just call them STARS

  • Lulz. Kylie Minogue did a cover of this song didn't she?

    I think this is better.

  • Carole King sang Background.

  • farting , that wasn't carole King.... The cookies sang background vocals for Little Eva

  • on the recording of the song, Carole King sang Background.

  • The Cookies sang backup on many of her recordings, but not this one. The backing vocals were recorded by Carole King and some session singers, as it was intended only as a quickly thrown together demo cut.

  • Little Eva was only 13 yrs. old when she sang this song!!!

  • Definitely sounds like leon russell on piano

  • I believe Leon was a Shindog, actually.

  • @gsdsteve yeah, Leon's piano sound is unmistakable! Indeed he was the piano player! Not much was heard of him until he joined the Mad Dogs & Englishmen american tour in 1970!

  • @raponte1955 "Not much was heard of him until he joined the Mad Dogs & Englishmen american tour in 1970?" Excuse me? Leon Russell was part of The Wrecking Crew, the most-recorded group of L.A. session men in the '60s! He was heard on ENDLESS numbers of records before playing with Joe Cocker! He was also clearly a Shindog, which meant Leon's playing was beamed into millions of American homes through the miracle of television every week! He just wasn't a household name - big difference.

  • @timnapalm Didn't knew that .That's some legacy.

Wasn't to keen on his 7T's and later stuff though.

Most session men are faceless anyway. Most don't mind ,and are happy to be just in the background.

Russell was a reluctent star . A bit selfconscious about his looks.

  • @timnapalm Like Glen Campbell (worldclass guitarist), too in the '60s in the LA Wrecking Crew. Thus part of the larger Phil Spector "Wall of Sound" as on Ronettes recordings.

  • ahhhhhhhh, wow,wow,

    brings me back

    thanks

  • Remember the day she came back home, stop singing. Now her resting place is in my hometown. Locomotion on her tombstone. Rest in Piece Eva Boyd.

  • WHEN did she pass away?

  • Died some years ago now. They did give her a nice tombstone with a locamotion train on it

  • I remember dancing to this song at my prom many years ago. Bring's back memories. cant dance like these days

  • No, not weird at all. It's called "rock 'n' roll."

  • i LOVE this song.......my teacher said were gonna do it in class for the randomness nd the electic slide too lolz :)

  • Do your thing, girl!!

  • Well, you just showed your intelligence.

  • i think you'll get to like it if you give it a chance.

  • this was a time when you don't need complicated coregraphy to make a good song

  • I think the reason why complex dances have become such a massive part of music is because the songs suck.

  • @puretroubleman SO very true!!!

  • @puretroubleman So true . . . hard to think of any good, special or great song in pop music for the past ten-plus years.

  • Live lip synching

  • this is definetly not lip synchronising - it is not exactly the same as the recorded track

  • She was excellent! And she will be missed.

  • love it!

  • The girl I fell in love with at 12 years old.

Thank God I got to met her.

God took you home but you are missed.

  • I agree this song very good! I also love oldies. That singer has really big hair.

  • i love this video. i love the oldies
