Why does everyone hate the interviewer? It's a Dutch guy interviewing an English girl. People in different countries think differently, so it's obvious the conversation is a little awkward. Not to mention, the language barrier. Have any of you ever talked to someone from abroad? It's not so easy, you have to keep in mind they have different culture of conversation.

. Beth Gibbons is Awesome... she says that she doesn't do interviews because she feels she is boring. She says singing is not like talking. She doesn't want to be judged by her speaking voice, just like people get judged by the way they dress. I love that she said "im boring as f**k....ONe of the most influential Bands and yet still so sensitive and insecure. I understand when she says that American homes are so distant from one another.

i love trip-hop music because of downtempo beats...strage synthesizer sound...and vocals as well...i love listening to trip-hop songs...like massive attack portishead..you know...everyone who loves trip-hop know what i mean...and i like sitting alone in the dark..wearing my headphones...smoking and chilling...that makes me feel beautiful...I think that music is more important in our life...never would made us unhappy...friends maybe...but music not..

i don't really like to stereotype a whole nation but really are all dutch music journos like this? i remember one time alison goldfrapp having a similar interview...could be the same journo for all i know....but he too was very intrusive and you could tell alison was also growing uncomfortable and was ready to pop.

it's got to be difficult though because beth is rather a shy person,in general,and it's very uncomfortable in general having to speak out in this way.

I think the interviewer is handling this in a bad way! Beth is trying her best to be kind to him and really tries to give him answers the best she can and he's like "it's obvious the way you sing???", mimicked her when she says "sometimes.....", "why not" when she says she can't explain already!!!

No wonder she doesn't want to give interviews... But I hope she will at some point. Even the very shy Mylene Farmer has given more interviews the last 15 years than her =)

Love her. I've seen her live with Phead three times and solo. Met her twice. Both times she was really drunk but sweet. There is definitely a sadness about her which a lot of people live with. What's so special about Beth Gibbons is she has brilliantly transformed hers into art. Her voice takes me to a very deep place like no other artist
