  • I just want to point out that a NAND gate functions as an inverter of the and gate. That means that unless the output is both on ( 1 1) then it will transmit signal. Probably a slip of the mind, but important to clear up.

  • Inam beastly at redstone.......i have build 2 tv's and a 4 way piston elivator

  • Just so people are clear, us random science guys didn't just add n to the front for inversion, it's because it's actually not a combinational logic gate (like AND, OR, NOT) but rather a sequential logic gate. Sequential gates are combinations (weird, I know) of other gates, to make a new one. NAND = NOT AND. NOR = NOT OR. and then XOR = Exclusive OR (the loner)

Otherwise, you guys did good explaining why they worked! :)

  • please make more =] this was very very helpful in understanding redstone!

  • please make more

  • Nice tutorial. You really get the basics covered, though with the few minor mistakes. Well done!

What I don't like is the altered textures. The texture pack does only confuse. I tire of looking at foreign skins and it's most probably even misleading for beginners. I recommend doing it with the default textures. Nice vid tho. Keep it up! ;)

  • AND what the memory banks things

  • video helped me so much! please make another video about memory block thingy's and other things please! thanks

  • this was very useful, thanks :) i am new to redstoning and was wondering if i could get your help :P how would i build a circuit so that at one place, i have a switch that can turn something on or off, and then i have a second switch somewhere else that can also turn it on or off. so kinda like 1 can turn it on, i walk to the other, flip it and it turns off, but then i can walk back to 1 and turns it back on again.

  • Good video, but the double inverter circuit is a bit wrong. You can combine two inverters. Two blocks. torch on top of one of them, and a torch on the side of the other block. You put some wire on top of the block with the torch on the side.

  • Thanks for this video guys, really really helped me out a lot.

  • I think you mixed up what happens on wooden vs stone pressure plates.

You said only wooden responds to player weight, and that stone requires much more weight than the player.

Wooden ones activate when an item/player/mob is on it.

Stone ones activate only when a player/mob is on it.

  • @HeyItsMrTom You're right! Oops. I'll make notations in the vid to fix that...

  • I thought you needed stone not wood to make the repeaters

  • @maximum988 Another oops! I'll make a notation there too. Thanks!

  • what texture pack did u use and can u send it to me plz

  • @MrAznjoseph It's the Painterly Pack. I've added the link in the description.

  • Nevermind, I didn't watch the whole video. Sorry. :c

  • Next time you should use the default texture pack with iron blocks set to completely white. I think this would look much better.

  • @ogTJ That isn't iron, it's glowstone.

  • @CordyBear1 Ah, I was just taking a guess. That then.

  • @CordyBear1 so that the video looks bright. Brilliant :P

  • @ogTJ That's a good idea. We'll try that :)
