I think this series is embarrasingly awful, but I'm a huge admirer of Ricardo Montalban, and I think this little clip is among his finest moments: in less than a minute of cheesy dialogue, we see him run the gamut from playfulness, to guile, to affectionate tenderness, to sarcasm, to peevishness, to bone-chilling menace. What an actor!
Filming the same scene from different camera angles is a tricky affair, especially when you are using shot and counter angles like in the scene between Sable and Philip at breakfast! At 06.31 Sable puts her spoon back into the marmelade with her left hand but at 06.33 she does it again with her right hand! The mistake is made because the scene is not filmed with two camera's at the same time but with a single camera.
