The timing and the manner of the eviction was a stupid political blunder. To pick any Remembrance Day, let alone the most miserable weather day, a day of heavy rain and high winds, to forcibly evict the vulnerable protesters was an unnecessary power play, that may have gratified authoritarian impulses for the moment, but will continue as a shameful  example of bullying. It would better suit the powerful to be gentle. Were these protesters some immediate threat to our way of life or something?

People have the right to not be criminalized for being poor & treated less than animals for having mental health issues &/or addictions. Also, they have the right to build on "quality living" that is seperate from political agendas that prevent the poor from having community gardens when homeless.

As it is, many provinces have adopted American politics in such a way that we treat our most vulnerable like cattle, & this would include children living in sub-par housing complexes.
