The song simply speaks of the hardships of a grandmother having to raise the grandkids in poverty after the MOTHER decided to abandon the kids and REMARRIED (at 1:47 me da buoc sang song is a metaphor or another way of saying remarry). The mother did not passed away.

well this is basically country music. in here tam doan even tries to pronounce the words with central countryside accent. this songis about poverty and the hardships of country people in vietnam. it is also about the love and respect for one's mother.

As far as I know the word "sang song" is used when someone married.

What a sad song!!! It made me cried, I miss my family back in HCMC.

The grandma worked for the rich family like a slave, she then got fired. If this happened to someone I know in real life, I would definitely help them as much as I could.
