  • The ad is kinda annoying.

Interesting product though. Does it work by Dexpan™ hardening into a rock/resin and crystalizing at the same time (like freezing water when it takes up more space)?

  • @ytdcfjhvjvp0j Dexpan slurry expands and return to its powder form, it is very easy to clean up job sites. Thank you

  • @anyan88063

Yeah, but I was asking about how it works on an aspie level.

Explosives demolish by rapidly increasing in temperature due to exothermic reactions, so they expand as a result (which push stuff outwards), send out shockwaves (which shatter bittle stuff like concrete) and heat up the target (which weakens it).

Obviously it works by expanding, but HOW does it expand? Crystalization? Pushing away the water molecules? Some other odd and fascinating effect?

  • @ytdcfjhvjvp0j You can say it is "crystalization". Dexpan is a cement product, it dehydrates, expands and cracks concrete or rock without noise, shockwave, air blast, implosion, high temperature, ground vibration or anything like explosives would have. This is why Dexpan is called Non-Explosive Demolition agent. I hope I answered your question, thank you

  • @anyan88063

    Yeah, you did.

    Thanks.

  • So the names dexpan yeah? You didn't mention it much.

That aside. For the idiots saying demolitions are quicker your dead wrong. It takes weeks or months to plan it, x2 to set it up, more time getting permits and a shit load of cash paying for the guys to set it up. Oh and 1 second to blow. Then think of insurance costs for damages that can occur.

This only takes drilling, pouring and waiting 24 hours.

  • @evankoka12 Thanks for your comment. You are right, any experienced demolition contractors know how much can Dexpan save. Especially demolishing large amount of concrete or rock, simply drilling, mixing and pouring, return next morning to see everything is demolished. Safe and quiet, no troubles. Thanks again.

  • That's pretty cool

  • Great stuff!!!

  • Nice, but I could have had my crew jack hammer and remove this in about 15 minutes.

  • @tripjet999 Thank you for your comment. This is a small-sized concrete block for DEMONSTRATION PURPOSE? at begining of this video, there are many LARGE rock and concrete structures were demolished, imagine using a jack hammer?

  • holy fuck that was awesome.

  • Well shit I"m sold. Now I just need to start up a demolition company....

  • I'm really impressed. I've a couple of friends here in Spain that are struggling with big rocks in the houses they are building. I'm going to forward to them this video. I guess that they are going to save a lot of time and money.

  • @Antagraber Appreciate that.

  • lets hope that you don't sell this stuff to teh wrong people and they bring a building or bridge down that has people in it, this product is good but maybe too good

  • @sportmadme Dexpan is very safe to use, it has to be placed in LINES of holes in order to SLOWLY crack concrete or rock. So people will realize if somebody tried something bad. Thank you

  • @MegaDestroyer21 Yes, we do ship to worldwide. Please contact us for shipping options. the contact info is shown in video. thank you

  • I'm sure this is a decent product with many uses... I just can't get over 0:45 "Dexpan works without the worries of noise, air blasts... flying rock or dust"

Yet at 8:07 this non explosive gives warning about blows outs of flying rock and dust? ... I thought with dexpan you weren't suppose to worry about that?

  • @rookiemcm77 Dexpan expands to crack reinforced concrete with 18000 PSI pressure, the "blow-outs" happen occasionally like a soda pop. Warning is for your safety. Please not to be confused with the flying rock in explosion? thank you for your comment

  • whats to stop it just oozing out the drilled hole when it expands?

  • @NeoWolf07 Dexpan cures and dries up to expand, it shows in this video, once Dexpan starts to working it raises up a little bit since it has become solid cement type of thing. thank you

  • can I get it in Australia ?

  • @FSW2000 we can send to Australia, please contact our office, thank you

  • How much does it cost?

  • @rerite2 a 44lb box costs $99, a box covers 36 lineal feet at 1.5 inch holes. Thank

  • so if you want to start a rebelion use this to break concrete?

  • @malibar1 Dexpan is widely used, quarrying stone, demolition of concrete, mining, residential demolition and more. Thank you

  • isnt that fun as explosions :)

  • can this even demolish bedrock?!?

  • @ravand1990 Yes, Dexpan can demolish bedrock. You might need to dig around a buried rock, to give Dexpan expanding space. We have a lot of similar demolition photos on our webpage. Thank you

  • @anyan88063 and what about adminium, netherrack or glowstone?

  • @ravand1990 lol minecraft reference

I bet it can. But first you need a drill that can penetrate it.

  • lol 9:54 Kinda looks like a face with eyes popping out

  • Can this be used to demolish concrete floor in a residential 1-car garage? The garage is detached from the house. My concern is that the expanding concrete floor will push on the concreted "footing" and perimeter foundation. A valid concern?

  • @rerite2 Use perimeter holes to stop the cracking. Perimeter holes are holes that left empty without filling up with Dexpan. Another thing is that in shallow applications (less than 4 inch deep), it may take longer for Dexpan to crack, since the holes don't hold enough marterial. Thank you

  • genius

  • @gmanthebossman Dexpan has an Authorized MSDS (material Safety Data Sheet) showing it is not toxic. You will not have problem if it is running water. although fish may die if it is high in concentration. Dexpan has been used in some underwater applications (we have photos), like underwater rock removal, bridge piers demolition, river dam demolition and so on. We suggest that you show the MSDS to your local enviromental angency before you do the job. Thank you

  • The only flaw I can see is in this is Time.

In this industry, Time is money.

I want to see a video of 2 concrete pillars (20ft high, 2ft width) being demolished with this, and then the other with conventional means.

  • @offspringmadboy Actually Dexpan saves a lot of time. We have hundreds photos of different jobs, many jobs are much larger that 20ft high pillars. For example some highway bridge piers were demolished with Dexpan, how large were they? drilled holes, filled with Dexpan, they were cracked next day. The larger and harder objects, the easier and faster with Dexpan :)

  • But isn't blasting more fun?

  • @nathanwilefrazier I think how to work more effective is more important than "fun". not mentioning safety and cost wise. Thank you for your comments :)

  • Thats a neat shit!

  • I'm just a regular guy surfing the net at 11pm, I struggle to remember how I got to this video or why I watched all 10 minutes of it..

  • @sti8u LOL...right on!

  • @sti8u Don't worry your not the only one, its 6.30 in the morning for me.. i also to dont know how i got here.

  • its not toxic???

  • @sniegaviirs24 No, it is NOT TOXIC. Dexpan is an expanding cement, it cures and expands. Please refer to our MSDS (material safety data sheet). thank you

  • this is some cool shit dude

  • This product looks amazing, do you have a UK distributor?

  • @LDNIrishArsenal1983 we can ship to UK. please contact us, thank you

  • I'm speechless this is amazing! Everyone needs to know about this I can only imagine the number of industrial categories this would be used in. It's good to see some really original thinking in the world :)

  • I have a question, is it harmful for the ecosystem?

  • @durzo2 Dexpan is Safe to use. please refer to our MSDS (material safety data sheet), which is authorized by a Canadian lab. Dexpan conforms ALL safety standards in the US, Canada, Europe and Mexico. the MSDS is available in 3 languages: English, Spanish and French

  • Very smart idea indeed .Need a rep in oz contact me ,would be easy ,stuff sells itself.

  • @sandspider30 what is your phone number or email? thank you

  • how can i start as a distributor in Nigeria

  • @bjaa10939 visit our web or call us, we have many international distributors, thank you

  • is there a distributor in australia eg south australia

  • @jocklastrapp sorry, we don't have a distributor in Australia at this moment. but we can ship to there, please contact us, thank you

  • I've been thinking about importing dexpan for my customers overseas. Is it easy to store even in humid weather or do special measures need to be taken to maintain a humidity-free storage space?

  • @diamondblades Dexpan has many international distributors. Yes, Dexpan is packed in Humid-Proof bags, but of course it is always good to avoid too much humidity. Thank you

  • Wow this would've been great at our site . The Ottawa congress center was intertwined reallyh bad wit a mall and a high end hotel . Noise was a no no .

  • This stuff looks great, is there any way to control the direction of the cracks? Will a large cutoff line stop the cracks or would they run underneath the sawline to the adjacent stone/concrete?

  • the direction of the cracks can be controlled by lines of holes. Cracks follow your drilling design, come to our site to see different drilling patterns.

To stop the cracks, you may use a large cutoff line, or simply leave a line of holes empty (not filled)

    thank you

  • what if i needed to get rd of a 40ftx60ft chunk of soft to drill limestone but hard on hoeram heads under ground.the area stays a little damp, would this stuff work

  • @daddy2time Dexpan can be filled in plastic tubing if used underwater or in damp area. call our technical toll-free for detail, thank you

  • this looks cool viva la motta

  • what if ur doing a big progect like taking down a bridge or sumthing wouldnt u be making alot of holes? i find that would take alot of time to do :(

  • 1) you may use bigger drill bit, 2 inch for example. our customer even use 3" drill bit

    2) if it is for demolition, you may drill 2-3 feet apart instead of 1 foot

    3) you may do dimensional cut by using custom drilling pattern

it is proven, the bigger job you get, the more time you save. we have hundreds job photos, come to see them and compare to other equipments, thank you

  • interesting but i know why this never get to push explosives out of the economy

    24 hours

    less than 1 second

  • it is a misconcept that explosives work in seconds.

it could take months to carefully plan how much explosives to use, where to put them.

it even takes longer to clean up the messy job site after.

no metioning safty concerns and special training

with Dexpan, 24 hours is for FULL expansion which gives you cracks as big as 2 inches wide. if you only need hairline cracks, it may take 2 hours only. thank you

  • intresting

  • wow nice invention.

I'm not a construction worker or anything related to this but I just found this and... :o

i would like to try it xD

  • Time is Money on the job site. It is more time effective to use Jack Hammers and skid steers. If you can reach the material that need to be removed with a skid steer there is no need for the product in Concrete Demo.

  • In fact, we have many customers that spent months could not finish jobs with JACKHAMMERS AND SKID STEEER (mounted breaker), then they came to us, tried Dexpan, broke whatever that needed to be break, in TWO DAYS! NO SWEAT

Once you know Dexpan better, you know 24 hours is MAXIMUM, actual cracks may appear as little as two hours, thank you

  • jackhammer and other hydraulic breaker might be ok for 1-foot deep concrete.

Imagine demolishing a REINFORCED concrete foundation 200ft x 50ft x 5ft in depth ? with Dexpan, you may save weeks of time and thousands of dollars. We have hundreds of job photos on Dexpan site

  • Say what you want, this stuff works! Using it myself saved me thousands of dollars from having blasters come in to take care of a large boulder where my garage was going. It did take over 24 hours to crack the granite but it worked as shown. The most expensive part of doing the project was renting the compressor and rock drill to make the holes but electric drills couldn't do the job.

  • That is pretty cool. I've used air rock drills, very fast with trailer compressor.

Must be a latex concrete that simply expands like ice.

So that's how they made the pyramids. :)

  • This stuff takes all the fun out of demolition work lol. Nice add though. But, they could have got the product name in one or two times more. Dont you think?

  • with Dexpan, Demolition does not have to be Noisy, Dusty, Labor-Intense or Dangerous. Thank you

  • awsome stuff

  • wow this is incredible, wut makes its expansive powers so powerful????

  • wow. what a great invention.

  • if you huff this stuff will it do anything?

  • Fantastic! I didn't know this existed. What a great idea. I can see the benefits over explosives in many scenarios! Maybe this "anti-explosive" should win the Nobel prize?? That would be too ironic, or should I say ironoreic? Ahhhh, so bad, sorry.

  • Dexpan is being used in hundreds quarries and mines. Many quarry owners, demolition contractors and blasters have found that Dexpan is very SAFE and EFFECTIVE.

    Thank you

  • A driveway is not as thick as the one on video. This must be good in demolishing old driveways. Question; Can this be used to lift sagging portions of a driveway? how about damaged foundations that need lifting?

  • 24 hours or get a fucking hammer

  • 1) 24 hours is for FULL Expansion. Cracks may appear as short as 2 hours.

    2) How long does it take to demolish a REINFORCED concrete foundation that is 1000 feet long? by Hammering? come to our website to see HUNDREDS of job pictures

    Thank you

  • Man, I would rather do this than hammer any day.

  • HOT SHIT !!!!!! 5/5

  • Is your product available outside the United States?

    Online store?

  • we have distributors in many countries. call our toll-free 866-272-4378 in United States, or +1-575-874-9188 international. Thank you

  • what takes the longest in removing rock or concrete is the drilling. Why drill 50 holes with dexpan when one hole with dynamite would do >?

  • Good Question! Let talk about time:

    1) How long does it take to plan blasting? Hiring blasters? How much does it cost anyway?

    2) How long to carefully setup all explosives? Weeks? Months?

    3) How long to safely remove HOT dynamite when blasting went wrong?

    4) How long to clean the job set?

Second, who said explosive needs one hole to do the same job that Dexpan needs 50?

Dexpan is a safe alternative to blasting, use it or not, think about SAFETY, COST & WORK TIME

    Thank you

  • @1marceltony dynamite causes shrapnel which can kill you -.-

  • @1marceltony Most likely for safety and non-intrusive reasons. From a practicality stand point, would you rather detonate a 15 ton slab into a thousand pieces and a cloud of fine particulate or slowly crack the slab into easy to remove sections?

  • Can the Average Joe get a hold of this stuff for home use?

  • Dexpan is available at many hardware stores, including some United Rentals, Ace Hardware. come to our web to find local distributors, thank you

  • Whoa, dude! Think about this for mining!

  • water would do the same use in the rite temp .

  • does water (ice) break REINFORCED concrete? I don't think so :)

  • when terrorists get there hands on it, will that be bad?

  • Safety is one of the most important reasons to use Dexpan. Dexpan works by silent cracking, there is NO implosion, flying rock, ground vibration, dust, noise.

Dexpan is like a cement product. Come to our website to download an MSDS (material safety data sheet)

  • exactly..

  • @xxSeaTownTrout It's not the terrorists you should be worried about it's the government.

  • We comply all safety standards, please refer to our MSDS (material safety data sheet)

Many goverment depts including military and DOT have used Dexpan successfully.

Dexpan has been exported to many countries, passing all customs without problems.

Dexpan is a SAFE product. Thank you

  • @xxSeaTownTrout yes son, yes

  • lol that is kind of cool... but 24 hours? thats kind of lame. give me a full sized breaker and that block of concrete would be rubble in prolly less then an hour.

  • This is a demonstration :)

    a SMALL block is used.

Imagine demolishing a REINFORCED concrete block that is 100 feet wide by 200 feet long by 9 feet in depth? Good luck with full sized breaker, with Dexpan NO SWEAT!

And, 24 hours is for FULL expansion. Cracks may appear as little as 1 hour!

Dexpan can save you HUGE amount of time and money

  • This is simply amazing, so many applications!

  • how could you demolish an entire building?

By the time you have drilled and filled the first floor the whole building would fall down on you.

  • For building demolition, 1st Dexpan is fully controllable, does the demolition layer by layer, from top to bottom. This is very useful when the building is surrounded by other buildings. 2nd, Dexpan can be used to weaken a building, less explosives may be required. 3rd, Dexpan is useful for partial or interior demolition. CAUTION: building demolition is complicated, please have an engineer to contact us

To answer 2nd question, dont you think that you have to drill holes to put explosives?

  • awesome!!!

  • now that's a bloody good idea.

  • i would use this to mess up some ones house lol

  • wooow greetings from Mexico City.
