@TheGb2132 Thanks! You've also inspired me to make the EAR RAPE warning more obvious. I'm surprised more people haven't complained at it, since it is pretty horrible. I'd never let that stay in video these days. I was so blissfully ignorant...
@GoGoserGo That is strange. Are you sure the senate didn't pass the law that bans terror stars? If they did, then I'm afraid it's probably impossible to build one in that match, though I think you can do it if you leave the United Planets. Other than that, I'm not sure what the problem is. You definitely have Twilight of the Arnor, I presume? If not, there's definitely no way to get a terror star.
Can you play as alien races in GalCiv2? I think you can't in GalCiv1, im a big fan of MOO and MOO2 and been meaning to try GalCiv2 but if we have to play as humans, it's just not as fun =/
@ProjectZeus You can indeed play as aliens in GalCiv2! Not only that, but you can create custom races, so the only limit is your imagination etc. You're also right to say that GalCiv1 doesn't let you pick a race, but the sequel definitely does.
If you can group your Terror Stars with a bunch of ships with that (Twilight of the Arnor only) hyperspace accelerator that gives increased movement speed, you can accelerate these giants fast enough to hop from one star system to another. I think only the Terrans can build them. You can try to acquire the technology through trade or raid though.
@Tryzon It's really ironic though, that you can have system destroying death stars in Galciv 2, but there is no way to bombard a planet's surface to destroy buildings or kill people if you do not feel like invading them, just like Master of Orion 2. Missed the old days of MOO2 where you can simply wipe out an entire civilization with 8 or so very powerful ships just by bombarding their planets to oblivion or by stellar converting them.
@creamie123 I've been meaning to try MOO ever since finding GalCiv and falling madly in love with it. The thought of carpet-bombing planets from afar is a pleasant one.
how do you make them?
ThePkarz 1 week ago
@ThePkarz You need to research the technology and then just keep upgrading a starbase until it's done. Far as I recall, anyway. Been a while.

@MasterZachMan I beg to differ, though the obliterated solar systems left in my wake wouldn't know the difference.
