He was off television for ages, then very briefly came back as the commisioner of the lesser known tna tv show, "Xplosion", but that only lasted a few weeks at the most before he was fully released from the company.
If the infamous rumor of Nigel having Hep C is true, then it's a horrible, HORRIBLE shame. The Wolfe character was fucking great, he was a shining beacon of potential brilliance in TNA that we will never have the chance to see now :(

if he became world champion because the YWC AND IWC wanted it so bad then wolfe would become champ and then he would be over with the internet crowd and indy crowd but wouldn't be over with the rest of the fans, and that would mean he wouldn't become champion again because he wouldn't be a big draw. they should build him for 2 to 3 years and then finally his world title win would be prestigious, but hes released now, such a shame...

It's a strange irony but when i'm in fast forward mode and i see Hogan i will stop and listen. Most other wrestlers I would simply keep fast forwarding. But the strange thing is that although I want to hear what Hogan will have to say I don't think he looks to good and actually I would prefer not to see him.

@HTUK2007 he's recovering from some kind of medical problem that took London Brawling out of the tag title picture. At least that's what i've heard. They say he's going to be making a return sometime soon.
@HTUK2007 I read that he has a medical issue that he deals with quite a bit. It's a terrible coincidence that both he and Bryan Danielson have had these problems since leaving ROH. I could see Miz there because of the great mic skills and wrestling ability, Sheamus could be main event bound there too, Evan Bourne is underused in WWE, needs to be in the X-Division.

@SuperHeroMania Well the guy was going to have a good tag team career ahead of him with Brutus Magnus but at the moment his wrestling career may be over as he has gone down with a "undisclosed illness" that him & TNA is not releasing. I just don't understand why he's not getting the push he deserves. Ever since Hogan/Bischoff came in they started pushing guys who were stars in 1995. I think Wolfe or Danielson are probably the two best wrestlers today. TNA should have him main eventing and not the ECW guys. I loved ECW but let's face it, that time is over and half of todays fans weren't even born in that era.

Wow, only Hogan and Bischoff could have ruined Desmond Wolfe. I'm English and it disgusts me that guys like Rob Terry, Orlando Jordan, Shannon Moore and The Band get pushes while Wolfe is buried and reduced to a comedy jobber. TNA should have had Wolfe defeat Angle at Turning Point but then lose at Final Resolution, before having him beat D'Angelo Dinero at Genesis and then win the 8 Card Stud Tournament at Against All Odds before beating a face AJ Styles for the TNA World Title at Lockdown.
Wolfe career is over now. Sad, one of the greats in Ring of Honor and Had a good little run in Pro Wrestling Noah and classics with Angle, but looks like it is over now.

Evan Bourne is a much better catch than Sydal just as TNA renamed Amazing Kong to Awesome Kong. Awesome Kong sounded much better. Now Daniel Bryan maybe silly but Desmond Wolfe is not so bad of a name. Another example is Generation Me. It's much better and marketable than the Young Bucks.

@DGenerationMC Nigel wanted to be known as Desmond Wolfe. It was his decision. Btw, Matt Sydal was known as that in TNA, so TNA usually doesnt change names, unless they're trade marked.
I think he has been used well, but they messed up his oponents. Kurt Angle was out too quick to finish their angle. The angle Abyss just fails as a face, despite what looked like a huge push with Hogan giving the huge rub. If both of those worked out like tna hoped, Nigel would be a bigger hit. But remember, Kurt is working up the 10 vote getters, so they will cross paths soon and I hope resume this.

TNA needs to bring international stars like Manami Toyota and Moeka Haruhi from Japan in the Knockouts Division. Bring in guys like Alberto Del Rio of Mexico from WWE, Vladimir Kozlov from Russia, Santino Marella of Italy. Sure, bring in Chavo Guerrero to join, even Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio.

Desmond Wolfe should be heading up TNA right now as their biggest draw. The fans voted for him as the number 1 contender twice and all he got was a 3 minute squash match against RVD.
I'm a much bigger TNA fan than WWE...but I honestly think TNA completely dropped the ball with Wolfe.

@SuperHeroMania Well the guy was going to have a good tag team career ahead of him with Brutus Magnus but at the moment his wrestling career may be over as he has gone down with a "undisclosed illness" that him & TNA is not releasing. We can only wish him the best of luck and hope that it is nothing too serious.

I just don't understand why he's not getting the push he deserves. Ever since Hogan/Bischoff came in they started pushing guys who were stars in 1995. I think Wolfe or Danielson are probably the two best wrestlers today. TNA should have him main eventing and not the ECW guys. I loved ECW but let's face it, that time is over and half of todays fans weren't even born in that era.

Wow, only Hogan and Bischoff could have ruined Desmond Wolfe. I'm English and it disgusts me that guys like Rob Terry, Orlando Jordan, Shannon Moore and The Band get pushes while Wolfe is buried and reduced to a comedy jobber. TNA should have had Wolfe defeat Angle at Turning Point but then lose at Final Resolution, before having him beat D'Angelo Dinero at Genesis and then win the 8 Card Stud Tournament at Against All Odds before beating a face AJ Styles for the TNA World Title at Lockdown.

@DGenerationMC You're right about that but nowadays the companies want to trademark names. But even with that said, sometimes the new names are better than the old names. Evan Bourne is a much better catch than Sydal just as TNA renamed Amazing Kong to Awesome Kong. Awesome Kong sounded much better. Now Daniel Bryan maybe silly but Desmond Wolfe is not so bad of a name. Another example is Generation Me. It's much better and marketable than the Young Bucks.

I think he has been used well, but they messed up his oponents. Kurt Angle was out too quick to finish their angle. The angle Abyss just fails as a face, despite what looked like a huge push with Hogan giving the huge rub. If both of those worked out like tna hoped, Nigel would be a bigger hit. But remember, Kurt is working up the 10 vote getters, so they will cross paths soon and I hope resume this.
