an absolutely tremendous interview, its shows jonathan ross at his absolute best. i watched his new show itv over the weekend but the commercial breaks ruined it. ross's spiritual home is and will always be bbc. i loved his friday night show and it is sadly missed

that being said young daniel radcliffe was a great interviewee, he has been one of my fav guests over the years. he seems such a well brought up young man a credit to his parents

@applesandparachutes They're not for cancer, they're Remembrance Day poppies, commemorating the British dead of the two World Wars. The money from selling them goes to help war widows, soldiers disabled in more recent conflicts, etc. A lot of the people who make them are war veterans too. Armistice Day is the 11th November; every year on the nearest Sunday we have the Remembrance Day ceremony in which the Queen and all the party leaders lay wreaths of poppies on the Cenotaph and ....(cont)

Normal practice is to start wearing your poppy in early November and stop after Remembrance Sunday, though some people start a bit earlier, including some TV presenters etc. Therefore anything you see on the BBC that features poppies was filmed in late October or early November.
