after watching house of 1000 corpses and devil's rejects, I can't really picture sid any way other than his character of captain spaulding. He played that role perfectly, and brought that role to life, and now his character is iconic. it's hard to realize that sid is actually so humble.

The more I see and listen to Sid, the more it saddens me that so much of his career was basically wasted on heavy roles. He's such a unique man with such a fertile, brilliant mind. It'd be interesting to see him in more roles outside the horror genre.

I met sid haig when a chick I met at Horror convention wanted to go purchase his autograph, at that time I knew NOTHING about HO1000C so stood to the side while she talked to him and got a picture with him, after seeing the two movies now i'm kicking myself in the ass for not showing intrest, those are my favorite 2 horror movies now! Come back to NJ Sid!
