Glad you are fine! I was drawing attention to the fact that 90% of the studies done report an increased rate of leukemia associated with exposure to EMF (Sage, 2004) In a normal world one kid in 10,000 gets leukemia from "whatever" if the same 10,000 kids are exposed to levels present at that site there appears to be a 2- fold to 4-fold increase -- two, to four kids per ten thousand. I advocate prudent avoidance and not building schools under lines! Read more at: microwavenews.
An EMF field of 30 milligauss may seem insignificant to many casual observers, however, the sustained duration of exposure over long periods of time for those who live and work in areas saturated by EMF is disturbing. There is no excuse for the construction of overhead transmission lines though a school campus. Nice demonstration of the ever-present field at this location. For those with access to an EMF meter, try holding one near a compact fluroescent bulb when it is lit. Pretty scary, eh?
Mmm... I believe it ranges from between .3g to .6g depending on where you are standing, but for argument purposes 1g is fine. The major difference is that the magnetic field of the earth is not being emitted as a rapidly expanding and collapsing field. It's sort of just... there. Brief exposure to HF/VHF/UHF/MW fields of sufficient strength is certainly damaging to cells. The book is still out on damage caused by long term exposure to fields of much lower strength. I suppose time will tell!
@ender06026 I think the point here is that we have someone telling us that the "milligauss" is killing us... its hard to take someone seriously when they\re trying to convince you with nonsense. the "milligauss", or whatever, is a function of current, which is roughly the same as normal low voltage distribution.
omg guys well dams might be moveing into the extra 40 class room and thats where u can get lucemia u cant get it where the classes are right now and its not ur blood that gets infected
i think (again i said "I" think so dont reply to me with this evil thing it is my opinion)this is a bunch of crap i have them in my backyard all my life and i am 16 and a lot of my friends on my street do to there fine dont go around scaring people
it's not nessecarily the EMF emissions from the low 50/60Hz freq that excite the gas in the tubes, more than it is the GHz radiation thats carried along the mains ... we're all being literally microwaved at subclinical levels. flouro tubes also glow when IN a microwave oven
I'm currently renting and im very close to one of these towers, its practically in the block next to us, but i didnt know right away because it hides in the trees, ever since ive been losing sleep over it, cant wait to get out of here, it just freaks me out, even though it may bot cause any damage, its still a psychological barrier for me.
Even before I knew anything about EMF, I would not have condemned anyone for "Showing" a truth. I don't think anyone really cares, it cannot be seen normally, and thankfully you brought it to "Light" and made it visual. People are in fields that are high all the time and cannot tell. I want you to open your mind, that it may not be from electricity, communication towers are horrible but, that isn't spoken of, yet, either. Good luck!
An electromagnetic field strong enough to light up fluorescent tubes comming from the transmission lines surely is a risk for our health.
If it affects biological parts of the human body, then it could affect food supplies around us, or surrounding animals. Interesting video, I think it's a very good idea to alert people about the harms it can cause. Good luck in your organization.
Alright hot shot... Are you ready to give up power? Completly? The only why to get power without power lines would be to use tesla's invension yet they killed him so... Haha?
Fair Question! No, I'm not ready to give it up. Just looking for a solution to the problem of exposing vulnerable populations (in this case school kids) from unwarranted exposure to abnormally high EMF. The solution is elegantly simple. Don't build schools under the power line's high field. School districts like ours need to be aware of the health hazards and then simply avoid them. In this case, knowledge is power!
i went to this school for 3 years now .......i dont have luchemia

So...if the lamps are being lit up, then isn't some power lost from the power lines? so its kinda easy to steal power i guess....isn't that right?

The magnetic field generated by the earth is 1 gauss, way more than 30 milligauss, and no one is worried about that.

We have a winner. A debunker comes out of his closet
and puts his foot in his mouth further than previous
debunkers Atomic ever hear of nanotechnology of solar cells
100 itty bitty batteries that can fit on the head of
a pin. The new electricity of off grid energy. No need to
worry about a rod inbetween causing a shock anymore. Your government is hot to trot in that they have
the ability now to make EVERY TREE AND BUILDING ITS
OWN STAND ALONE CELL TOWER.

Thank you. I did this inside my home. Near every single electrical appliance at night the same bulb
light up in my hand. We need to make more of the
world aware of this EMF Radiation around us.

Smart of you to study the issue. What was your science project?

My Science Project was '' Is Their Enough EMF To Light A Florescent Light''

the problem with those lines is the darn low frequency they operate at. i'm sure you know that. sorry to see your dilemna

Heat can cause burns and it is type of radiation. We should also remove furnaces from our schools. Any amount of radiation is bad.
