Come on west side worse? Ya the only thing scary about "boys town" is the drunk ones. The cell is in the south next to englewood and china town. Lets be real

Ever since they got rid of the Robert Taylor Homes and Stateway Gardens the area over by State Street has cleaned up a lot. The area around the Cell isn't that bad, theres a lot more crime in other parts of the south side. Stay away from the area between 15th all the way to 75th and California to Pulaski.

Speedcrazy: It used to be really bad when you crossed over the expressway. The Robert Taylor used to be there. They knocked them down. They have really cleaned up around there and by the United center. They have done a great job of putting up new buildings in both areas. Also Sox are adding aother new parking lot. I like Wrigley field, but I don't go often because you have park a mile away if your lucky to find a spot.

as a cub man, i dont ahte the south side, all of chicago is beautiful! just as long it's not in the cell!

the south side is very nice, it's a growing area. you cub fans should'nt be scared when some one mentions "South Side" your not in a rap video, Ice Cube and the NWA are not going to pop up and bust a cap.

I would consider that, it's not as nice like the Cubs area. There's worse parts though.

Crime rates are much higher in the 'Cubs area.'

i have never had a problem with anyone on the south side (sox side) i cannot say the same for the "cubs" side. they also have a very large gay community up there. so if you like butt sex, thats where you want to go.
