Saw these guys in Omaha Friday night, opening for English Beat. The Beat was good, but the best show of the night by far was Fishbone. I don't know how I missed these guys all these years, but that was about the best damn live show I've ever been to.

I saw them live in Nashville at a little hole in the wall a bit before this line up (no John Bigham), they blew the doors off ot the place. They were real late coming in, and Angelo gave me the finger when I gave a cheer for them finally arriving. He later stomped on our table with knee high jack boots on, though, so it was worth it. Best show I ever saw, nobody has ever brought it like Fishbone.

Best concert -- ever, hands down -- was Fishbone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Run DMC at the Palladium in LA circa 1986. Fishbone and the Chili Peppers were fantastic as always but -- to my surprise -- Run DMC blew them both away. Amazing.

I think there was a rumor from when Fishbone toured with the Beastie Boys, that Fishbone was kicked of the Beastie Boys tour because Fishbone had a better live performance.

I saw that tour in Austin. Fishbone came out of nowhere and killed! The Beastie boys were really just drunken frat-type kids then too, it was their 1st album and they only played for like 45 minutes. I saw Angelo after the show and let him know that they blew everyone off the stage.
