i had 5 budgies i use to play with them all the time i remember it like yesterday however as i grew they got sick 1 flew away and the other budgie the first 1 i got died of some illness lost his fathers when i came home my mom told me the blue ones dead i went downstairs to check and thier the blue bird was lying there dead i cryed my eyes and almost right to the point were it was reduciless i wish i had them back but its o late the other 4 i have are old and starting to lose fethers

i had my 1st budgie for 10 months and the night before this last christmas me and my wife went to family christmas thing.we live in WI;i accidentely left the side door down and she went out when we were gone and she liked to sit behide the cutain and window. when we came home she probaly frooze to death. im 32 and cryed to the point of insanity.we have a new 1 now and spoil it to death so i fell your loss and am truly sad for you.only time(a long time)will heal.sorry

hey animalcop66 try talkin to them so they kno ur not going to hurt them and slowly touch them so they stay calm n dont panic. i got my budgies 3 days ago n thats wat i did n now they jump on my hands and stuff as soon as i put my hand in their cage! and the last thing is just love them and spend lots of time with them

wow really when i bought them i was to scared to touch them i was young then and didnt knew nothing about parakeets!! i just put him in his cage and that was it he just likes to bite my nose softly from the cage but he doesnt let me touch him! =( thank u for the advice

I have one budgie who is less than a year old and she sings sooo loud every time I play music or she hears the water running somewhere. However, she hates water so I have to spray her because she only use the birdie bath to take a dump.
