Tarja is the best female singer in the metal scene, there's no doubt about that. I saw her last year in Wiesbaden, and her singing was pure magic. She hit every single note and was very kind to the audience. She's not a self-loving diva like Tuomas tried to tell us. Kicking her out of Nightwish was musical suicide, Anette is nothing next to Lady Turunen.

One of my friends told me something happened at some concert and she was kicked out. If they were not able to work together (mayby becouse of Tarjas character, Marcelo, money, what ever (and I'm not saying that Tuomas or Jukka, Emppu or Marcelo are innocent)) it would have been musical suicide to forse it. Nightwish is pure and all about emotions, they don't do it for the money. And no one is trying to replace Tarja in that sence, Nightwish never tried to find Tarja 2.
Well, Tuomas wrote in his open letter that Tarja had been disrespectful to their fans and, having met her in person, I can't confirm that statement of his. I never said they had tried to find a second Tarja, but they could have tried finding a decent replacement, which they haven't in my opinion. Just listen to Anette's version of "Wishmaster" - she can't even sing the high notes that are required for this song, and this is why I say that she's absolutely not an equally good singer.
i must concur with many of the previous comments. Her voice is majestic. Nightwish did a foolish thing pushing her aside. A most beautiful woman with a magnificent voice. I listen to some evil dark shit, but this is just beautifull.

I think Sharon is better, because she sings with different voices, Tarja always Opera. If you listen Tarja too much on one day, you are fed up with her voice. She sings really very good, but after a while you think: let's listen another band/singer. But she has a beautiful voice!

Sharon has never studied singing. It is obvious they both have incredible voices, but Tarja has perfect control over it. She (almost) never sing off the note and never run out of voice, while Sharon does a LOT. Also, by hearing a dozen performances from both singers, you'll probably come to the same conclusion: Tarja always is incredible; Sharon's ranges goes from incredible to very average.
The within temptation singer is a lovely singer. But is nothing compared to Tarja. Listen to their voice closely, Tarja is so much more advanced. I mean, she sang opera before this.

If you ask me, Nightwish needs Tarja as mutch as Tarja needs Nightwish. Nightwish still comes out with great songs, and Tarja does to, but it's never going to be the same.
