I gotta agree with DrummerQ. When do you see Gentry not starting with a 1.5 mount? He seldom uses other mounts to start his tricks. Mickey has a much wider variations of mounts so its easier for him to score points. He got 4th due to his mistakes.

However, gentry is able to get 3rd due to the way he branches out from those mounts and creates difficult and sometimes complex tricks. He also had a clean freestyle.

Just my point of view.

1) Mickeys tricks look simple but they're alot harder than some can imagine

2) His PS was probably highest in 1a

3) he has some really new and difficult tricks which he whiped out at worlds

before you dissagree consider how he came came to that opinion

Gentry's tech score was significantly higher than mickeys.

Mikey had too much repetition and simplicity in his horizontal combos.

Gentry's freestyle had much better choreography, his performance score was higher.

Difficulty Mickey might have it, but bangers weren't there, not enough variation, and a lot more mistakes.

I considered every point of view.

@shades715 repetition is part of the rule, you have to have your own style. so if you wanna score high you need your combo moves aka, your repetition moves... yuuki with his technical moves, somewhat the same, paul han with his laceration, and same technical combo, (paul has been using his combos from 1998). longer than mickey, so dont excuse mickey for losing points for repetition... even kohta watanabe, too... takahiro IIzuka been using same combo...

But in this specific freestyle he re uses too many of the same elements in this exact routine. A lot of the same eli hop variations along with all the same horizontal elements used over. If you see someone do boingy boing, and then 30 seconds later they do boing boing again, they are going to be marked down

Can you survive without them? Sure. Does it really matter in the long run? Mickey's always worn odd clothes during his freestyles (Or rather, I think it started around 2006-2007, or so. He used to be pretty conservative in what he wore back in the day.)

That being said, They're comfy, I'd wear a pair of pajama pants everywhere if I could get away with it.
