  • that's it? there has to be more. we can't let the bi polars beat us. they think they are so.... great with their business moguls and Nobel prize economists.

  • @CitizenTyrant : Yes, there are more, but I had limited time. This was for a presentation in a school project. :)

  • People with schisophrenia and bipolar disorder are naturally intelligent. They experiance strong and powerful emotions combined with their superb intellect because their brain is extremely developed and they have a higher perception of the world around them. But there is always comming from psychiatry that these are serious disorders and people with this condition fill frustrated and ashamed of having it. No one tells them that they are are extremely inteligent and gifted.

  • @TheChembalin Actually, my presentation that this was the opening for spoke on this very topic. It mentioned how the majority of schizophrenics are far above normal intelligence on various intelligence rating scales. Personally, I don't believe schizophrenia is something to be ashamed of. Additionally, it i mostly western society that looks at schizophrenics as sick; in many cultures, schizophrenics were looked at as shamans and spiritual leaders; direct conduits to the gods.

  • @TheChembalin

You're speaking based on your intuition. Schizophrenia is just like any other illness. The smart, the stupid, the rich, the poor... you name it can develope it. Has nothing to do with intelligence but everything to do biological, genetic vulnerability or predisposition.

  • @RhythmOfHeaven Pfft. Who are you to decide what an illness is? You just read what has been written to you by self proclaimed "doctors" who no nothing of how the brain works and cant proove anything. A fact is that people with schisophrenia and bipolar are very intelligent and creative. not all of them will become the next John Nash or Slvador Dali but they have the potential to be one. All those who experiance emotional flatness or cognitive problems have been treeted with antipsychotics.

  • @TheChembalin If doctors can't say, you can? Make a lot of sense to me. I'm a psychologist. Who are you?

  • @RhythmOfHeaven Hahha. Just because you have read a bunch of theories from a book who havent been proven does not make you smarter, more knowledgable or understanding about these matters then me. Before I trusted doctors like you.And do you know what happened? They ruined my brain. In my frontal lobe there is a dark cloud caused by the SSRI brescribed to me and Im not the only one. Ive seen people whose brain and body have been ruined by antipsychotics and antidepressants...

  • @RhythmOfHeaven I have first hand axperiance. What do you have ?! Just a bunch of memorized theories and claims of meer (humans) who dont really undersand the brain, just speculate. I have seen how psychiatrists have ruined peoples lives. People severely damaged by psychiatric drugs. Who am I?! Im a person damaged by doctors. Thats who am I. Your words meen NOTHING to me. Once, like many others naive souls, trusted people like you and found out that you are all just a bucket full of bullshit.

  • @RhythmOfHeaven As antipsychotics damage the brain. A poison strong enough to ruin a perfectly healthy brain.

  • @TheChembalin

They say I have a 89 IQ but yet. But yet I've aced everything until a collage level but math with a 7th grade education. Coded many programs, Learned almost fluent German in 3 months. And can build custom PC's in 10 mins. I have no clue how they measure your IQ. But something doesn't seem right there.

  • I think i have Jewish in me meby its just like some sort of ptsd cause im malented white man with brown eyes and i see a lot of schizophreniacs with brown eyes my dad and best friend.

  • @HyperNessie LOL! APEX was a fictional group we made up during school for our presentations. the eye was used in humor for a number of reasons. alas, no, I am not working for the Illuminati. At least, not that I know of. LOL!

  • @Silventar Good, cause i'm starting to notice alot of them on tv lately. Sorry for the mix up.

  • @MyLizardQueen: Please have a read at Wikipedia. I know it is not a credible resource; the references provide more info. You are correct, he was never officially diagnosed with schizophrenia. However, he was never officially evaluated either; there are no official doctors reports saying he was evaluated and found not to have schizophrenia. I should probably take him out of the video, but I will leave him in because of his schizophrenic-like behavior.

  • Get Syd Barrett off this video! He was NEVER diagnosed with schizophrenia. According to what I've read he was examined by qualified mental health professionals who came to the conclusion that he was not insane. Does the person who made this video have greater qualifications than these people?

  • And Nash stopped taking his meds after he won the Nobel because "he didn't think he needed them"!

  • @tiptoe221 with age, some people learn to ignore their hallucinations and delusions somehow.

  • I don't think so. Most of these people were just bipolar.

  • To everyone disappointed that I didn't include their favorite Schizophrenic, this was a small part of a presentation on Schizophrenia. As such, I had a very limited timeframe to work within.

  • No donny Hathaway?

  • Actually, Bettie Page was never officially diagnosed. She displayed some symptoms, however...

  • I'm surprised you didn't put Bettie Page on there, although some people claim are starting to claim she had bi-polar but a lot of people diagnoised her as Schizophrenia

  • inacurate, pandering unproveable bollocks theory of a video

    cheers

  • Im bobderlin schizophreia,Its no joke it sucks being paronided all the time,I get checked ever month by my terpist,Ihope it will go away dont like the voices

  • how can you not mention Wesley Willis?

  • @openaircathedral - I beg to differ. Brian Wilson was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, bipolar type, which is one of the schizophrenia subtypes. People wrongly assume he has bipolar disorder because of this, but that is inaccurate.

  • @Silventar Yeah I was going to say something, glad you jump on that my friend has the samething and I know another girl who has it and explained it to me.

  • Brian Wilson has Bipolar not Skitzophrenia

  • Awesome! Great video :-)

  • Anothers "posibly" schizo people:

    Gilles de Rais

David Anthony Kennedy (died of antipsychotic overdose)

    Cheyenne Brando (Marlon Brando's daughter)

    Ingo Schwichtenberg (Helloween drummer)

GG Allin (probably psychotic maniac depression)

Megan Fox (????? ...just seek attention)

  • forgot charles manson though:[ and id say elliott smith.

  • Charles Manson wasn't schizophrenic, he was just a sociopathic maniac, he was intelligent and manipulative, which are not schizophrenic. elliot smitth (RIP) probably suffered temporary psychosis because of his abuse of crack cocaine and speed, but neither was

  • syd barrett died on my birthday heh, what does it mean?
