I don't think Locke needs to be fixed, there's not enough time. Jack wouldn't schedule an immediate surgery. Perhaps characters don't have to remember as much as they simply need to "let go" as Shepherd and Hume have said. Remembering just helps some characters "let go."

Have a feeling Locke will manipulate Desmond to turn the wheel but at the same time get Jack to go into the source and sink the island, creating the alternate timeline. I want to 'destroy the island' so it seems highly likely he will sink it(LA X). That being said, maybe Jacob & MIB are alive in the alternate time line or do not have a rivaly but then again who knows since Ben & his dad said they had been on the island in the past. Can't wait.
