Your dog looks like my old dog Bengie (he died more than 20 year ago). All these years I thought he was just a mutt (he was born on a farm). I had no idea he had any pedigree like Papillon in him. And I never taught him to do all those tricks. The most he did was sit, shake a paw and lay down. Looks like I should have worked harder. Well done on giving this dog a home and teaching her all those tricks. I can see this dog really loves you.

Another great vid. If only adopters would realize that it takes time for shelter animals - dogs and cats - to adjust in their new homes. It does not happen overnight and may even take a few months depending on the trauma they when through. Just because animals cannot speak, does not mean they don't feel physical and mental pain. So glad her final adopters realized this. A little empathy goes a long way.
@empathyprogram Thank you for commenting, and you are 100% right. Not all, but some dogs and cats do take longer to adjust to homes than others. However, if one just gives them the time and patience to train & love them, they become some of the most loving, loyal companions :) Iryss is a good girl & has come a very long way. She's a great foster 'mother' & keeps all my foster pups in line!

I Really Can Not Figure Out How To Get My Dogs To Back Around My Legs.

I encourage you to look at some, then modify their training techniques to suit you & your dog's training style. If you have any specific questions though, please feel free to send me a PM.
@puppies7730 All of my animals are adopted, I would never EVER think about buying a pet from a breeder or pet store when there are millions of homeless animals. I have 2 personal dogs & foster as many as I can. The time it takes to train a dog depends on the dog -- if they have a high work drive, they can learn commands very quickly.
