You got very special comments here. Seems as if you have some friends who are real musicians and know a lot about composing. I just want to tell you that I like the sound! Your music is great and I hope you go on producing! Like it!
@Atreju74 Feedback from musicians and listeners has been helpful and very positive, but I don't actually know any of them personally. Having said that, I still try to treat them just the same.
Thanks for your comment and encouragement. I'll try to not to disappoint.
@StudioEightySeven The vocal part is a poor imitation of the soprano part(s) in 'Roar,' the Michael Giacchino piece on the end credits of Cloverfield. You may be right about the reverb. I wasn't trying to write a piece like his at all, and I made no attempt to mix the instrumentation like his orchestra sounds. The soundfont track does have some reverb, and with automation (more reverb for fades on quieter parts). Thanks for the feedback. I checked out some of your work, I liked the piano piece.
@kinghellick I was not suggesting to attempt to mix your work according to the inspiration track, as for the reverb perhaps a longer reverb tail with a third set on the diffusion rate :)
Appreciate it if you could drop that comment on my track.
@StudioEightySeven I didn't mean to suggest I thought you meant that, but instead that your comment made me realize how I really shouldn't try to imitate the mix of any part Giacchino's piece, given that I knew how the rest of my instrumentation would sound. Tracks should be as consistent with the others as possible. Most were supposed to sound somewhat 'live,' but the soprano was different. Maybe next time I'll fix that. I appreciate your feedback.
@kinghellick Did you go as crossed eyed as i just did hehe.
Thats fine, always good to clarify things and Im always happy to have a little banter with like minded people.
I find the "live" element does not come from the choice of instrument but the person playing the piece (humanized velocities) unless you were refering to as if i were listening live.
You are welcome, its always good to have a fresh set of ears and pitch in with some new views :)
@StudioEightySeven I did actually mean it as if a person were listening live, though if I had any capacity for emulating a 'live' performance in the other sense, that would be really something.
@DJHyperPonyGBX5 Thanks for listening, and thanks for the feedback. Do you mean a little less timpani as in quieter, or as in less use of the instrument?
@kinghellick I meant to say less use of it, such as from 1:12 to 1:19. I'm not sure if Logic has an instrument for a bass drum that you can substitute the timpani for. (I used to be in an orchestra myself, and these drums were enormous compared to the timpani!)
@DJHyperPonyGBX5 You're lucky to have been in an orchestra. What instrument did / do you play?
I see what you mean about the heavy drums between 1:12 and 1:19, and a bass drum might be a good alternative. Logic doesn't come with one of its own, but I do have the Project SAM Big Bangs patch. There are probably a handful of useful bass drum samples in there.

Good use of the Irina Brochin soundfont, however feel that a dash of reverb was needed there.
The score definatly has a few good twist and turns, the crecendos are really well placed so are the instrument sweeps.
Overall a very enjoyable track.
Please dont forget to check out some of my work.
Cheers!

Although I'd prefer using less timpani, this is a nice composition!

This sounded like it came straight out of a movie soundtrack! You definitely deserve more views. The picture is beautiful as well.

@WheatThin55 Thank you, and thank you again. I was a little hesitant about the picture.
