  • What kind of ammo was used? I have one and paid 400 after at cabelas nd found out their cheaper now :( but I still love it. Its worth da money :)

  • Paid 298 for mine love it.... if u can't get use to trigger pull have it adjusted. Easy fix.

  • Guess you won't be using that bathtub anytime soon... I love the .40 S&W but just wish the ammo wasn't so damn expensive. Makes a dent in my wallet every time I want to just go & bang off a few rounds.

  • i love .40 but nothing kicks more ass than holding a S&W .44 in your hand and the barrel is almost as long as your forearm

  • how much would one of these cost???

  • I never used a .40 sigma but im thinking about buying one how sensitive is the trigger?

  • that damn tub is never gonna hold water again, way to go!

  • Just boght a s&w 4046 today thats chambered for the same round as the sigma. Havent had a chance to fire it yet and I've never fired a .40 so I was wondering about the recoil?

  • @RenaissanceMan112392 Its not that strong of a kick if your use to shooting or have shot larger guns. Just grip the gun tightly and lock your wrists for your first shot and adjust your grip as you go to what works best and is most comfortable for you.

  • @YamahaRick Thanks for the advice. I got a chance to shoot it today and I really like .40 caliber. Im only 18 and havent been shooting very long, but Im mainly use to revolvers. I've had the wrist locking problem before with a Beretta 9mm and the gun kept jamming because of it but the .40 handled very well.

  • check out my sigma i cut the slide and ported the barrel handle much better now and no there isnt a blinding flash when i shoot at night

  • is this a good dependable gun, my paps bought me one, ad my first gun

  • Nice grouping

  • Every video of someone shooting at an object rather than a target there's some pointless criticism or insulting. I'm responsible with firearms don't get me wrong, grew up around them all my life, but let the boys have some damn fun..lol

its over and done with, nobody is dead or wounded, so I'd say things went pretty well despite your concerns...

  • @17Revolution76 : Thank you.

  • Did the 22LR go through the bath tub all the way?

  • i just got mine yesterday cant wait to shoot it although the trigger does have a long pull but, hey 300dls brand new...any gun beats no gun!!!

  • wow, was that one of those old iron bathtubs?

  • No it was one of the newer steel ones with the ceramic coating.

  • sweet

  • that poor tub

  • i own a ruger sr9 and a sigma 40. My groupings are only a shade less tight with the smith. even with a 12lb trigger its not bad at all. i dont understand why so many people rag on them. i guess these people just dont shoot well with anything!!! haha

  • @vabch82

Question. Can a good Colt 45 man work on that trigger pull for experienced shooters?

  • ooops.sw9ve

  • its not a usp dumb shit. it a s&w sigma .40 swgma

  • This is a USP right? Just that the guy didn't say.

  • First off it looks like maybe your cop?

And if so you should know that was stupid of you to shoot a tub. You got lucky

I see you still need lots of training I hope before you kill yourself or someone else.

Stupid move stupid. Please say your not a leo please. scary to think you are.

  • @pshaw61 Both of us are Leos, And your point being what?

  • @pshaw61 must have something against LEO's, he's probably a trailer trash criminal that only prefers to shoot at beer bottles, yeah know, the ones he drunk before he beat his wife

  • @psoutrage lol yeah your probably right..

  • @psoutrage Just saying they are stupid for the way there shooting. Leo or not there just STUPID! ANd I work with cops every day so no I like my work.

  • It will ricochet, my uncle's friend shot a 1911 .45 at a toilet and it rounded the bowl and hit him in the arm.

  • The 40 is a faster round than the 45 so it can penetrate much better than the 45 so it is less likely to ricochet

  • I reload and shoot .40 and .45 so I'm aware of the ballistics. I wouldn't shoot either at that tub, but go ahead and have fun. You may want to invest in some kevlar though.

  • Well I am a ballistics specialist and I am kind of an expert on the stuff.

  • He has kevlar but there was no need for it. My .22 penetrated that tub every time so I don't think that there was much chance that his .40 wouldn't.

    Thx 4 your input though.

  • @YamahaRick was that .22 a ruger 10/22???

  • @cobbconstruction What kind of press do you use?

  • @The870Express I was using a Lee single stage press, but I just got a Lee Pro 1000 progressive press and it's way faster. I take my time though and make sure everything is perfect.

  • Comment removed

  • But will take that back as I look at this with out being on ambien.Sorry

  • hey okl88, my p89 jams on store bought ammo, but does not on reloads.. what the heck can it be, aftermarked clips.. or is it the gun.. ??? thanks

  • Hello,I have heard good things and bad things about this gun what do you people think?

  • What the fuck do you mean by you people?... lol nah its a alright gun, I can't say to much about it though because its not mine, its my brothers and I have not shot it much.

  • What do YOU mean, You People?

  • People on youtube!

  • From what I understand, the trigger pulls on newer series guns (two-tone Sigmas like the one in this video) are very, very heavy. Other than that though, I've never heard anyone complain about the newer guns. They don't seem to jam like the older guns. Sigmas are reasonably priced. How well one compares to a, say, Taurus 24/7 or Millenium Pro, I can't say.

  • .40 cals are the way to go, most stoppin power you would need.

  • uhm..i dont think its going to ricochet off of 1/8 inch thick steel..this is a .40, not a bb gun..now if it were iron..than id be a tiny bit more concerned

  • Some of the sigma line-up are prone to jamming and failiures. However mosat of them are fine as long as you use the right ammunition (Some types dont load or jam, especially on certain models - but dont ask me which ones, cos I dont know exactly.)

The Sigma is somewhere between a Glock 19/23 and a USP (compact?). It is a very good firearm for law enforcement, sporting or concealed carry, as long as you find the right model with the correct ammo.

  • i just bought this gun 2 weeks ago shot it for the first time yesterday....WOW! it is a very nice pistol...i was talking to someone at the range who had a glock 22 (.40 cal also) and his was jamming all over the place....i bought mine used for $230

  • wow. shooting a handgun into a bowl-shaped piece of steel. if i was doing something that blatantly STUPID, i don't think i'd post it on the internet.

please remove this clip and stop embarrassing yourself. seriously.

  • well i can't tell, and i'm not super knowledgeable in guns, but if he was using hollowpoints, which it appears that he wasn't, I wouldn't be too worried. The .40 flies at 1100+ fps, i doubt the bullet will bounce off or curve along the bowl shape and fly back at him.

  • dude. relax. it's a 40 cal not a bb gun. the bullets go rite through it. look at the holes.

  • It will ricochet, my uncle's friend shot a 1911 .45 at a toilet and it rounded the bowl and hit him in the arm.

  • yeah it's possible. turn the bowl the other way around then the bullet has no suface to reverse it's enercia on a rounded surface face towards the shooter.

  • inertia but I get what you mean... and Cobb... that's no fun! Hope he healed up alright!

  • man that handgun is heavy, I cant imagine trying to conceal that.

  • no man, i fired one the other day. first off, the gun, even with the full 10+ rounds is very light. my dad (i'm only 18) has this .40 and a Colt Mk. VII Gold Cup .45, which I didn't get to fire, but alone, without any rounds or the magazine is heavier than the fully loaded .40 S&W. He also carries it in his cargo shorts pocket, just the simple thigh pocket. It's very easy to conceal.

  • it's not that heavy, and I conceal mine with an in-the-pants holster. which does get uncomfortable after a while... mainly cause it's so bulky

  • how much did you pay for your can i am thinking of geting one is 450 to much thanks

  • I think he got it for around $360.00

  • Lol I think the camera man jumped when he fired the first round lol.

  • oh well then phxsunsx... im sorry... please excuse me.

  • hey im thinking of getting this gun how is it compared to the glock 17 and the springfield .40 if u hav shot those? what r sum cons about this gun?

  • I don't care much for glocks, they just feel funny to me in my opinion. I have this same gun and once you get used to the trigger it is wonderful. Not one single jam in over 1500 rounds so far!!

  • i hit glock 21 instead of glock 22 and panocha48224 shits his pants haha and i didnt say anything about the glock 22 having a safety i feel safer with one in the chamber and having a heavier trigger funny how a little mistake ruined his life i guess hes pissed his sister stoped fukn him oh and its two fucking CENTS not sense dumb shit

  • oh yeah inspektor kemp just had to get your two fucking usless sense in.. thanx, thanx for nothing faggot

  • oh shit glock 22 haha oh well you small cock faggot that glock sucks ass i sold it get a life mr.i work at a gun store hahaha woah i bet your rolling in the dough haha what do you drive a old shit ford you redneck bitch

  • how do i not know shit about guns. i work at a gun store.hmmm lets see i work at a gun store. and i own 17 firearms. i guess i should go kill myself. your even more of a loser than me for even commenting about me being a drunk dumbass. you dumb fuckin cannuck. oh and over here in america were we kill people with our guns. that threat you made makes it legal for me to shoot you.. if you want my address ill give it to you. lets see what you got. im serious man.. bring it. matter fact ill come to u

  • I'm not sure what state you're from pacino, but I don't believe that shooting someone for insulting you on the internet is a legal reason for murder. On another note, working at a gun store doesn't make you an expert just the same as best buy employees don't know shit about tv,s.

  • pacino48224 shut the fuck up u looser

u dont know shit about guns, shure that other guy dosent either but to keep comeing back to this video to correct him makes u an evan bigger looser, go kill your self u dont know shit

and u are welcom to have a shoot out with me anyday, ill let them know to make urs a closes casket cuz im gonna shoot u in ur dumbass head and wach all the shit spew out

  • ya lanza does that make sense..? you calling me a child for commenting about a dumbass.. but for some reason its ok for you to actually take the time to read and RESPOND to this CHILDISH soire. go fuck yourself. you probably collect welfare you bitch

  • oh and no one is arguing.. i just showed him how much of a dumbass american he was. for real men like myself we enjoy firearms, much as faggots enjoy going to Macy's. why dont you get a life, your 37 and commenting about something i commented about who is the child now. trick

  • because i hate people in this country.. they are all the same they talk out of there ass, and they are protected. go get a job, or go to school, quite watching these dumbass videos and commenting on shit you know nothing about

  • you all just need to shut the hell up and get a life okay its a video about a gun how fucking childish can you be arguing about a fucking gun pathetic

  • omg, so cool...he shot into metal sheet

  • oh and the ruger p345 is probably the most unpopular .45 compact in the world.. you suck at life and know nothing about firearms.. keep talking out of your ass

  • oh and both pistols do not have safeties

  • phxsuns111 your a fucking idiot... glock 21 is a .45 you know nothing about guns.. have a nice day and shut the fuck up

  • I have both the sigma .40 and the glock 21 i wish i didnt buy the glock the sigma is a way better .40 cal the glock feels to bulky in the hand love that 10 lbs trigger i can point and fire if needed without playing with the safety like on any other gun i think im going to trade that shit glock for a ruger p345

  • i had a .40 smith and wesson i loved it never had a problem out of it im getting an m&p soon

  • um glocks dont have an 10 lb trigger pull, cheap sites, and a boxy unrigid frame. go shoot a glock and realize the difference. this gun is 300 dollars brand new for a reason. it is a starter pistol. ask your gun dealers. and by the way with the exception of KEL TEC,, any pistol you buy you pay for what you get. plain and simple.

  • Can't forget the Makarovs or CZ-82s, both cost much less than their true worth.

  • i bought one about 8 months ago and i put over 800 rounds threw it and not one jam its a tough ass gun

  • i have the same as well got it from the gunshow at new with two mags and 50 bucks mail rebate and two more mags sum it all up the gun was 250 and its a great gun 14 in the mag its great in the hand fuck a glock this shits on it come on cops use it and they dont use crap

  • Glock's are way overrated, the only reason they cost so much is because your buying there name not because they are a better gun.

    Thanks 4 Commenting

  • I just bought this gun Friday of last week. Seems like a nice piece for the money!

  • alittle crazy shooting at a iron tub like that

  • I had my .40 cal sigma for about 8 months with 200+ round through it and no problem none what so ever. Great gun for the money! $225 (wife discount from academy) If you have the money I say buy it, don't listen to those Glock Lovers :P.

  • I just bought that gun, except i got the all black one, idk if they are rare, but its the only one i've seen

  • the older sigmas were all black

  • oh, well, you learn something new every day

  • really? hmm thats funny cause the one in my house is a few years old and the mags have been loaded the whole time (reloaded etc.) and they are just fine

  • should have shot that cop car while he was at it

  • i love that damn gun.

  • Question: Is it alright to keep a magazine partialy loaded for an extended period of time? (months)

  • im guessing the springs could get worn out being under pressure and tightly coiled for so long. Better not to do it.

  • well if you are talking about years that i guess so, but the springs should hold out for a good period of time

  • i have it i bought it yesterday i love it

  • i love that gun

  • man i wouldn't wan't to bath in that bath tub

  • The Sigma series is my 4th hand gun and also my favorite. I own the 40 calibur as shown in the video. I like the hard trigger pull. It makes up for the fact that there are no safeties on it. I love that as well. The best hand gun for the money. I du strongly suggest you use higher quality ammo outside the range.

Also clean and lube well and often.

  • great gun I think in the newer ones S&W cloned the way GLOCK makes guns instead of just cloning the way they look... glocks are cheap and fast to make... but sturdy and rugged... basically sigmas are glocks with a better feel in the hand.. but not in trigger pull... glocks just coast more because of their popularity... support the sigma if you have it and in turn that money and support will build an even better pistol

  • yeah it doesn't feel like you're holding a 2x4

  • I own the same gun as well. Great gun for the money... my first pistol that I bought. If you have more money to spend, you can always get something better, but that's with anything. I have not had any problems out of mine. The only complaint I have and see that others have, is the long trigger pull. Takes time to get used to and might cause inaccuracy at times. I've heard the spring can be swapped out pretty cheap to make it a lot better, so I might do that with mine.

  • AWESOME SMITH THEY ARE THE BEST

  • can you please tell me if these are reliable guns because the research i have read on the net sometimes says otherwise but i think it may be gun snob glock owners

  • I bought this same model (I think) last week and it is awesome. S&W .40 cal Sigma model.

  • Yeah it's a good gun and yep you have same model as in the video...

  • 300 dollars well spent (new).
