  • Seems a waste, so much power and it's not an amphib.

  • @TRASUPO unless you need the versatility of amphibs no float pilot would ever give up the useful load or performance for wheels.

  • love the sound of it

  • holy shit that climbs like a homesick angel

  • Wow, that thing is sexy.

  • impressive.can't be @gross weight.

  • That take off is mind-boggling. There is some serious muscle.

  • if there is such thing as a STOL seaplane, this is one of them

  • There's that turbine whine! Funny seeing a turbo beaver that's not wearing MNR yellow! My dear departed uncle flew those beasts, both the radial and the turbo in the 60's and 70's ah the memories! Thanks for that trip down memory lane!

  • How wonderful it would be to integrate such a sense of freedom into ones life.

  • Its Turbine not Turbo. Turbine is about 750HP and burns 50+ gallons of JetA per hour. The turbo is a piston engine...

  • @Jamesfromnyc If the name Turbo Beaver was good enough for De Havilland Canada, then it is good enough for me!!

  • @Jamesfromnyc Yes it is a Turbine in the aircraft but it is still called a "Turbo Beaver"

  • Pilot docks Beaver better than professional boat captains with bow thrusters!

  • Love the Limo antenna.

  • bear in mind this guy had quite a headwind to work with.

  • top of the line for a beaver. Its like a porsche in the sky.

  • Just came across a turbo beaver forsale out of Florida totally overhauled and restored brand new P&W Turbine engine, Wipline amphib floats, overhauled adjustable pitch prop, new avionics, 2 years on the exterior paint, all for 1.67 million. so theres your priceout. I would def. have one of these If I had the money. sick takeoff by the way!

  • For those asking, Turbo Beavers run in the neighborhood of 1.5 mil give or take a few hundred grand depending on condition, avionics, floats, etc...

  • why not just get a caravan amphib for that price? anything that the beaver offers over the caravan at that price?

  • @JamesHayton 1.5 mil, thats all !?! I'll take 2

  • That things eats Caravans for breakfast!

  • FOR BREAKFAST!!!!!

  • Is that plane owned by True North Outposts or is a air-taxi company

  • That short takeoff is thanks to a huge headwind

  • massive headwind

  • massive headwind? looking at the slight ripple on the water I'd guess 6-8 mph. that isn't much of a headwind. turbo beavers are awesome airplanes.

  • How much does it cost to buy one like that ?

    $100,000.00 ?

  • i hope that's a joke

  • no its not a joke how much does that plan cost ? 250 k ?

  • I flew that plane that one not like it that one

  • what would be the smallest size of lake that one of these planes could land and take off in safely..???

  • thats turbo beaver acutally not an otter

  • I could live in that airplane.

  • thats an otter, not a beaver by the way.

  • just kidding, thats a siccckkkk, beaver tho. damn. I guess it just sounds huge. Sry man

  • I love True North Outpost!!!!

  • look at the twin otter stol just type in twin otter and the first one click on it

  • PT6 kicks ass

  • If it is called a beaver you know its good.

  • What a difference more horsepower makes.

  • That is such a sweet airplane! What is the cost of a plane like that?

  • I want to ride in that plane!

  • That was the shortest takeoff I have ever seen. It looks like a really neat airplane to fly.
