kripuis is all over the place. the whole band is hot. wow! great playing. this was all unrehearsed & spontaneous judging by all the communications but you can see how a good set of ears and a bit of experience & lots of talent comes out regardless. just great. priceless video. thanks.
Good fiddle player...debatable. Good colleague...no! Tim Kliphuis demonstrates some bad attitude here by chatting to the other performers while the guitar is playing and tapping the guitar player on his shoulder with his bow telling him to stop so he can start playing...how rude...shame on you Tim!
Yes a well virtuoso player but as said below a bit too classic indeed, rigid and rytmically poor, he has too hear more Grapelli's style from the 40ties a bit more. I prefer D.Lockwood when he imits Grapelli just for fun.
Wow, that was one of the longest intros to the song I've ever heard, but then again I'm only 11 years old, so I haven't heard that many.... my friend plays violin, while I play guitar, his brother is on accordion and we playa gypsy jazz stuff too, check us out!
holey jumpin gehosafat, holey jumpin moley, holy cow, holy toledo! holy mackeral!
ouch!!!! thats so hot!

let's see...judging from the sound and the technique/posture and all that...I'd say there's some definite classical training in there.

Yeah this is how Stephane Grappelli opened it when he played the song, give or take a few notes.
