The lyrics are definitely worth reading. I expected the song to essentially state that life isn't worth living without God and all non-believers are going to Hell.

Luckily, the lyrics are much more open-ended and rather liberal compared to other Christian music. For instancce, the last few stanzas criticize the church for not being more accepting of people such as pregnant teens.

i don't think its as crazy as some people make out, everyone's got unanswered questions, like why the reality exists, why they're conscious? why there is something instead of nothing.

i mean as "smart" people are we really in a position to live about 50 years and then assume we have enough wisdom and knowledge to make the judgment that there is no purpose in life and no higher being than ourselves.
