sounds like crank walk, i have a 91 eagle tallon tsi with a 16g turbo, trust me its is better to check the play in the crank to be on the safe side, my car made the same noise and eventually the motor seized with only 35,000 miles on it... i had to replace the block because the crank walked so bad... but you need to get it checked out because if your crank is walking you may be able to salvage it!!!

could be a broken tensioner.

sounds normal to me... besides some ticky lifters.. that completey normal for the first little while when you put these engines together. run it hard, take it out for a good boot and it should quiet down a bit.
