  • this is back when dream theater were actually trend setters :)

nowadays they just look like uncool dads.

  • the first half of the 90s is like the 80s light version or so;DD you can still recognize the remains of the 80's looks /fashion

  • 3:20 I took that same exact route last week lol

  • NOW MTRFKRS. 'Uh-yeah'.

  • James LaBrie's sunglasses are awesome

  • this is the badass looking petrucci i liked. no he looks like a freakin wrestler

  • does kevin moore appear on the video ? i didn't see him

  • This is labrie at his best!

  • They cut a part right ? ==' Cuz the original song lasts 6 minutes 30 sec... That sucks ==' ... But isn't the drum intro on this song the intro from 6:00, the first track of the same album?

  • @SrarWhiteDream no is not

  • ahahaha the funniest music video ever.... i like them a lot, but they all look kinda stupid here xD

  • John Petrucci looks like Jesus haha

  • Cheesiest video of all time, one of my favorite songs from the 90's

  • one of my new fav bands...hate the video though

  • At :30 LaBrie being 'the bad cop' hahaha!

  • I think it's badass that they were inspired to go to seven strings by Korn

  • Video is pretty and somewhat innovative, like it much. This song has a real nice beefy sound. love the outro solo, but its unfortunately excluded.

James LaBrie's moving weirdly all the way...

Funny shots everywhere. What's Mike wearing!? =P

  • Imagine you're just driving through town, minding your own business, and then OH MY GOD, IT'S JOHN PETRUCCI PLAYING GUITAR NEXT TO THE STREET!

  • OLDCHOOOOOOL

  • basdass song!! i never knew Mike played Mapex?

  • Most bad-ass music video ever!

  • Retro DT.. I love it..

  • Myung looks cool in this video he is one of my inspirations

  • James looks ridiculous on the bridge LoL

  • no keyboard on this video??

    (portnoy is crazy : )!!!! )

  • Neon green pickups on black guitars are sexy

  • @D3m0nhunter719 John Myung. He is and has always been their bassist, smart one.

  • @MelodeathAddict

I was referencing a adam02 video, smart one.

  • @D3m0nhunter719

    Are you serious?!

  • @BestGear41

    ._.

Did you not read my response to MelodeathAddict.

  • @D3m0nhunter719 he is john myung and one of my idols dont u have no respect?

  • @LOL11306

    Dude.

Dream Theater is my favorite band.

    It was a joke.

    Stfu.

  • @D3m0nhunter719 sure np but it sounded serious :P

  • @LOL11306

    No. -_-

  • @D3m0nhunter719 Who the fuck are you ??? Have you ever heard DT ONCE?? how can you ask who the asian guy is ???Fucking Retarded

  • @MrCochise11 FOR THE HUNDREDTH FUCKING TIME IT WAS A JOKE

DREAM THEATER IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND, I WAS FUCKING KIDDING

  • These were the times when Petrucci used the guitars of God.

  • 0:21 always makes me laugh. Myung acts like a little cute girl. haha.

  • This video kicks ass and MP hair is AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Can someone PLEASE tell me where MP got those bitchin Purple Sticks.

  • @metaldrummer47 that sticks are purple because of the wood, its a different kind of wood, Darker and Heavier...

  • just saw these guys live on wednedday.....really awesome i telll you, dream theater is the best band ever!!

  • You'd think they would show the keyboards in the sections where they're shown playing, even if they used Shereinian for the video's sake,,, Oh well

  • Like the way James is singing it....

  • yeeees

  • pas mon genre

    sauf que

de 3.24 @ 4:04 qui est vraiment excellent

  • Pretty good video, better than Pull Me Under. But I think Wither is their best music video ever. :)

I prefer the original version, although I like the drum intro in this one.

  • Yeah, Wither, only because we went to see one of the gigs featured in the video XD

    Both versions indeed are good.

  • Good song and JP on top form as always. Lots of keyboards on this track but no sign of a keyboard player in the video? Was Jordan Rudess on the scene at this point in time with DT?

  • Nope! I guess he wasn't there for the recording? Kevin Moore was the Keyboardist at this time though.

  • Kevin Moore left right after Awake was finished, so he probably wasn't around when they made the music video.

For the better I'd say, this isn't a very memorable music video in my opinion and seeing my favourite keyboardist in it would just make me depressed.

  • @MelodeathAddict ur wrong...kevin moore left the band at the time...this song has no keyboard...

  • @ginjeexxx You can clearly hear the keyboards in this song man haha, Kevin Moore was in the band for this album, then left, like Willman895 said :)

  • @MelodeathAddict Kevin Left right after the album was finished. They made this video before they got Derek.

  • @MelodeathAddict i guess he left the band before the recording of this video

  • @Hertsman50 the keyboard part for this song was recorded by john petrucci

  • @Hertsman50 thats because by the time this music video was made kevin moore already left the band. in 1997 jordan rudess was a part of liquid tension experiment and derek sherinian was their keyboardist for the awake tour, falling into affinity, and a change of seasons. in 1999 jordan rudess replaced derek shirinian. Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory is the first dream theater album you hear jordan rudess in

  • @Hertsman50 Kevin Moore left the band as soon as the album was recorded, I guess he didn't even did promotion of the album. The next keyboardist was meant to be Jordan Rudess but at the time he didn't want to join DT. So they ended up picking Derek Sherininan. Derek played on a Change of Seasons and Falling Into Infinity. By this time Jordan Rudess agreed to join DT and Derek left the band.

At least that's what I remember from Dream Theater's history :)

  • Gotta Love Dream Theater :P This is definetly one of their best songs. James LaBrie is GOD. and he's canadian ;) Haha.

  • Great song, but the video makes me dizzy haha

  • Imagine what Beavis and Butthead would say about this video. xD

  • 0:22

At least the bassist is getting into it.

This song is pretty heavy by Dream Theaters standards. I like that first riff.
