Wonderful that the late great Mr Bogarde's brother & sister were so tolerant, understanding & supportive of his homosexuality. Dirk was quite fortunate to have found his life partner at a fairly young age. They seemed to have been very happy together. Good for them!

There is only one answer to this. They were in love with each other, there where a couple. It doesn't matter that they were two men, a couple is a couple. I still find it upsetting that there are still people like yourself who hold these ancient, Victorian opinions.
