my rule of thumb is generally the pros can hit one club farther than most of us. for instance, if we use a 8 iron, they use a 9 iron and so on. so i'd have no doubt if that 3 wood goes as far as one of our drives

I agree with proslayer. But if you want to talk about the stats for driving stuff, it's tough because the pga tour stats are for 2 holes one into the wind and one down wind. At least that's what it was when I was there.

Guys! Tiger hits 3 wood about half the time, and his average driving distance last year was 302, so he hits his drives pobably about 320 when its in the fairway, and his 3 wood about 285 when its in the fairway.

i wish he hit 3 wood most the time. then he would stay in the fairway and probably win more tournaments. unfortunately for some reason he takes great big swipes at the ball with his driver and goes all over the place.

I agree with you to an extent but in fairness to Tiger sometimes on his bad swings it only looks like he is swiping at it because he gets out of sync. Although on some occasions he does just try and kill it.

Looks like here he was getting warmed up. He doesn't bring out the FULL swing in this clip. Still though, Very Nice Swing and I'm sure it still went 300+ yds.!

the guy in the video. he plays good but i think he turns his shoulders a little bit less. furthermore he moves to much with his lower body. i can see it im scratchgolfer. and if he wants to be scratchgolfer too he have to train and train.
