@getreal77598 Oil was down...3 days ago, today it is back up. You have seen no major changes in food prices? Have you ever bought food at a grocery store? I go weekly and prices up every week. I am also having a hard time finding foods I have been eating forever and instead finding 10 rows of Splenda, low fat crap, no fat crap and everyone is getting fat or fatter. We have sat silent as they have destroyed everything good that we NEED to survive. Time to get even.

Wouldn't it be so funny - if the USD becomes the Best Investment in the world in 2012 as recession in Europe causes other currencies to falter and people run to the US dollar because we have the military to back up our PetroDollar.
And in recession, commodities like silver go down down down.

It's not doomsdayers it's a fact of history . That nations and empires one way or another rise and fall . Because of their imperfections and their weaknesses . The US is no different and the thought that it could never collapse is not only ignorant but stupid for anyone who thinks that somehow America is special in some way . It's not Christian doomsdayers like hell fire and brimstone but a simple fact of history and that it is or isn't America's time to fall . Time will tell .

If this plays out as bad as these guys say, I can't see anyone trusting any fiat currency, and maybe even paper money "backed" by gold, at lease in the first few years following such a collapse. That means people will trade and the only currency will be physical precious metals will be the new world currency.

I´m a Ron Paul supporter, but even if Ron Paul gets ellected in 2012 the inflation cant be stopped.

Track the careers of statesmen who have challenged the system - they're ostracized, marginalized or brazenly referred to simply as a "wacko." We should all refresh ourselves with the movie, 1984 - it's on google video for free. Ron Paul is a non-violent, first attempt at revolution. I see clearly now that a garden is my way to live. A greenhouse is of far greater value than gold or silver. A network of sincere, skilled friends is better than any weapon stash. A humble shelter that is completely owned is my source of serenity, not some wealthy guru. Let the storms rage, I will be safe and happy if I just focus on my own rational list of needs, and let others follow blindly the clamoring voices out there.
