@mitch5655 I use it directly with iMovie and it works just fine. The only thing is that iMovie automatically converts the video to .mov . And it should be .mts , so i don't know if that affects the quality of the video. (Sorry about my english)

I've gotten it pretty wet, but I wouldnt reccomend going deep sea diving.

im getting one hopefully, the only thing i would add to it would be a viewfinder, because it uses less power, and like an SLR reduces camera shake (although it has built in software for that i think), but as long as i keep it stable it should be okay

I'm getting mine in about a week, and my only question is if Corel Videostudio Pro X2 can support the editing. Because many have said it does, and the site (corel site)says that avchd is supported, yet it is not included in the wikipedia list in the info.

I have NO idea what stable means, low light is pretty good, supposedly canon is the best for low light, I'm a fan of the pictures, though generally ou need to take the exposure down a bit

ThankS for the hg20 run down. BUT! The AVCHD format is being used by computer companies as leverage to get you to buy their new computers so you can edit in AVCHD. Only the stupid people fall for that trick!. Toast and VoltaicHD both have remedies for the corruption at Apple. DON'T REWARD APPLE FOR BEING EVIL, JUST GET THE SOFTWARE PACKAGE, DO NOT BUY A NEW MAC.

how did you upload off the HG20 to your computer since it doesn't have a firewire port.

Did you just upload via USB output as an entire file then manually open it in Adobe Premiere CS4 or did you upload using the HDMI output. Or can you even upload via HDMI output? lol.
