I don't even know where to start, I am so sorry for your loss, and the things you wrote are so beautiful, and so true! In the beginning of 2011 I lost someone in my family, and 3 months later I thought I was going to loose someone again, this time for cancer, I felt like my world was falling apart, but everything worked out well.. Your friend must have been an amazing person but as much as you were lucky to have had her in your life, she was also lucky to have a friend like you!

I know how you feel :'( I lost one of my closest grad school friends K.J. to cancer. He was always the happiest and always smiling even when he was listening to us say goodbye. Losing him hurt me more than I ever thought I could be hurt.

That made me cry really hard as embarrassing as that sounds. In march this year, I shaved my head for childhood cancer, shave for the cure. People like your friend are who I did it for.
