  • I love the commentators. They are so right on. Johnny was incredible. The judges must have been blind to give him those scores. His skating is just so PURE.

  • Outstanding - shows you what Johnny is capable of. Superb artistry and technical/athletic ability. Beautiful everything in this program. I hope he can do this well in he 07-08 competitive season.

  • who is that guy talking anyway ???

  • Simon Reed

  • This is such a great program, and he carried it off so superbly. I just love his skating. Noone can land a jump like he can and he carries it out so gorgeously.

  • This is still a masterpiece. I keep coming back and watching this when I want to see something beautiful.

  • why are people arguing numbers? It's blatantly obvious that the judges have started using the COP system just as they used the old one: placing skaters relative to one another with their scores. That's why you have personal bests when skaters don't skate anywhere near their best...

  • beautiful! one of the best programs i have EVER seen!!!!!!!!

  • beautiful!

  • Dang. If the new judging system were in place here, he would have scored MAD points.

  • lame scores...thats all i hav to say.

  • The British Eurosport commentators are Heroes! I love their lambasting of the judges.

  • who choreographed this and his otonal program? they are really well done and i think they did good for him too

  • He got the marks he deserved. He is a second tier skater, always has been, always will be. Very good but not in the league of Joubert, Plushenko, Lambiel, Buttle, Lysacek, Takahashi, or Oda. Look at the medals, they say it all. Where are the medals?

  • The medals do not necessarily reflect the quality of the skater. If that was true Michelle Kwan would have an olympic gold medal. If Johnny skates to his potential he could easily podium at worlds with lambiel and takahashi.

  • That is your opinion. Weir has never cracked 150 in the free skate under COP. Joubert, Lambiel, Plushy, Takahashi, Oda have all cracked 160; Lysacek, Buttle, Verner, all over 150. He is good but he isnt good enough to medal with todays depth.

  • He very well could, but he needs to stop doubling and landing a quad would definitely help.

  • Well are you saying he has never skated anywhere approaching his best? To be in the range of skaters I mentioned he needs to be able to score over 160, as they all have multiples times, and he has never even reached 150. So are you saying he has never skated even that close to his potential after 3 full years of international competition under COP?

  • If Weir is second tier then Lysacek is a third stringer, LOL!

  • 2 World bronzes, consistently stronger showings then Weir or any other American on the GP circuit the last 2 seasons. Smoked Weir, and the rest of the field, at U.S Nationals this year.

  • Won't argue that, but you have to remember, Johnny

was physically and emotionally under par this past season and did not have adequate practice time. This is not an excuse for him, but a fact. I just want him to raise the bar for himself and forget about trying to best anyone. Skating should be about bringing beauty and joy to the world, not medals...

  • Beautiful

  • My favorite skater. I don't care if he got bronze at the 07 Nationals, he is the best thing to come to figure skating in recent years.

  • i like johnny's hair now that it is longer, but i agree. BEAUTIFUL!

  • That wasn't a short programme - it was a work of art.

  • the judges should be reprimanded.unproffesional and not objective behaviour on their part(ther must be other factors to their decisionbesides skill, artistry and execution)

  • Judges don't give out high scores to skaters who are new to the scene. This was his first Worlds. He scored much higher in the LP because the judges were impressed after the SP.

And actually in the SP his heel might have touched the ice on the triple flip, which is a 0.1-0.2 deduction off the first mark. That could also explain the low scores.

  • he is so freaking good! hes so hilarious! my fav skater DUH! i love the foot work

  • Wow!

  • that's right, the judges didn't have the guts... are you kiddin me? that was fu***ng amazing

    bloody brilliant

  • What idiots to give him such low scores. Geez. He did amazing. Those scores were RIP OFFS.

  • Whoever coreographed this program around Weir's skills is a genius. It was just a beaut to watch

  • wow, what an amazing short program from johnny.

  • Johnny has some fantastic short programs. I really love his skating.

  • ooops not jumps judges

  • stiff ass jumps that didn't deserve what they gave him require elements should have been in around 56 -59 ranges and he should have got 6.0 for presentation STIFF ASS Judges.

  • I agree with you here, and also with what Chris and Simon said--the judges should have been brave enough to give him the marks, even if there were 100 skaters still to go. That was quality skating!!!

  • *squee!* I love his skating! Wow... I could watch this video a hundred times, and he would still amaze me every single time. Thank you so much for putting this up!
