@DiablosRS and in reply to others as well... I have the same problem of getting limited at only 22% improvement and have been wracking my brain trying to find out why. Apparently this is a glitch with the perks not taking effect and the only known *possible* way to fix it is to uninstall and make a clean install (dunno if deleting your saves is necessary, I hope not). Thumbs up so others may see this

@mikun157 It's a glitch where one or more of the perks increasing that effect doesn't click... I SOLVED it for mine though; I have it on my PC and I just installed the "Update 5" to the game and now I get 25% like I'm supposed to, yay

@zheinworld If u become a vampire and take the necromage perk from the restoration tree, it makes all ur effects more effective against undead, which incudes you! so a potion that says "increase ur alchemy by 37%" will actually increase your alchemy by 42%, not sure what the max is but 29% is the max for gear for non vampires

Did you also know that a fortify restoration potion will increase the effects of armor equipped (aka fortify alchemy) while the fortify restoration is in effect? Fort rest potion -> equip fort alch gear -> make better fort rest potion, etc... infinite increase in alchemy power with only one set of gear! Also, the increase to gears' effects will remain as long as the gear doesn't get unequipped

I disenchanted an item that absorbed 8 HP from the enemy, then tried to disenchant one that absorbed 20 HP but the game said I already had the enchantment. Does any one know how to work around this bug? Its on 360 and like that for all my enchanted items

@followernumber1 Not a bug. You learned the enchantment to absorb health, nothing more. How *much* health is absorbed by the enchanted weapon is determined by your skill in enchanting, any boosts applied thereto (items, potions, etc.) and the power of the soul gem you use.

I assume you haven't learned the alchemical perk that allows you to reveal more than 1 effect on consuming ingredient (perk is one that is called "experimenter")

Extra fun fact, if you have 100 enchanting with 5/5 enchanter perk and a grand soul gem, each item crafted with a fortified magic school enchantment will reduce the cost of magic from whatever school you chose by 25%, you get 4 items with this and all spells from that school will cost nothing to cast, 2 schools if you have the extra effect perk. Haven't gotten to that point yet but god dammit I'm gonna get to it.

@migrantmean63 you have to disenchant an item with an enchantment on it. lets say for example you find a dagger that causes 3 fire damage per hit or whatever. you go to an arcane enchanting table (one can be found in dragon search) and you disenchant the weapon. you will learn the enchantment but the item will be destroyed so be cautious of what you want to disenchant...very similar to world of warcraft if you have ever played that

As a suggestion, when making your final set (3rd set to be exact) of enchanted rings, necklaces and so on, you might as well dual enchant them with Alchemy and Smithing. It'll save you gems and clothing, plus the description says to have extra effect, wouldn't want to waste it :)

Bare in mind too make a smithing potion in the same way as I teach enchanting Then drink and upgrade. For Smithing You need:

Blisterwort, Sabre Tooth, Glow mushroom and two others i forgot.

If you want the restore:

Abecean longfin, Cyrodilic spadetail, saltpile, small antlers and small pearls

Hello YT peoples I can only make fortify enchanting potions 8%, but can make fortify smithing potions of 35%.

My clothes are: Bracers 17%, Necklace 17%, Ring 17%, Circlet 20% + Falmer helmet 17% - of course all supporting alchemy with a total of Alchemy +88%.

My Alchemy level is 32 with no perks. My main question is why am I able to make enchanting potions of only 8% if I can make smithing potions of 35%?

And if needed my smithing is 100 and my enchanting is 76.

Try drinking a "Fortify Restore" potion and unequipping/reequipping your alchemy gear. It will apply the bonus to restore to the fortify alchemy. Then you can make another cycle of fortify enchants and pump up your alchemy some more, cycle, and then make the smithing pots.
