  • I have been watching this video and others with the "Kara remembers" scene... and EVERY SINGLE TIME i get goosebumps... is it ever gonna stop?

  • some song i'v so many versions on my ipod already, i'l have to add this one

  • Amazing song but, that distortion on the bass is really killing me.

  • do the lyrics mean anything to anyone? I mean, has anyone actually listened to them instead of him screaming and slobbering and drooling on the mic?

I love the instrumental, but the song itself makes no sense at all... sorry

  • @TonyEvans96 The song makes sense. It has a lot of Biblical allusions and the song is sort of backwards -- the song begins with the end of the story, and it ends with the beginning. Look it up.

  • @waterkeeper511 a song that's written backwards... i guess you can't expect much else from someone who's high 24/7...

  • This song is really epic. When I graduate from college this is gonna be the theme song played on that day. And I'll smack every bitch who make eye contact with me

  • I don´t know but i think all we are human/cylon XD

  • Battlestar galactia is probably the greatest show ever made.

  • Shit music omg.

  • @darius51285 uh... it's the most important song from the entire series.

  • i dont see this as cover, so i dont see BSG as a cover of the Battlestar Original 1978-Version... New-interpreted, but no cover...

  • Man, every time I her this song, it really reminds me of Tool.. and how awesome it would be if they did a cover of this song

  • I still hate Gaius Baltar to this day. That guy was seriously a dick.

  • Wild

  • 24 people can't think out of the box! Love this version of this song. Dylan is probably likes it!

  • Dope. Fracking dope.

  • Its in the Frakking ship!

  • in the end with adama and starbuck is the best time !

  • INCREDIBLE

  • How can anyone give this a thumbs down? This is the best cover of this song I've ever heard.

  • @TheChawMan its great .. but hendrix cover is best x)

  • @cokular92

The Bob Dyland version is no.1

  • @galuiot That version is not a cover ...

  • @cokular92

    still it is a version

  • @TheChawMan Made even more potent and awesome by the scene it was used in. The revelation of four of the Final Five, the return of Kara "Starbuck" Thrace, and the cliffhanger ending of season 3. I jam to this song over and over watching that scene.

  • best show ever!!!!!!!!!

  • Sorry, but this version totally sux! There is nothing about this song that allows for hindi instrumentals in it. if you do some research into this song, you'll be amazed to find out the truth of it all! And hindi is NOT in the equation!

  • Audio is pretty bad... But video is cool :D

  • We will definitely use this track for our next BSG trailer...

    Thanks for that!!

  • I love this version.. So chaotic and beautiful

  • What ever recording this is of this version sounds f'd up, like someone decided to go way to far with the bass boost!! For a minute I thought my speakers where screwed t ill I realized it was this crap recorded version. Bear McCreary's cover of this is simply awesome though and so is BSG!!

  • @Splunker0013 I agree, a bad upload of a great song.

  • Is there an instrumental version of this song?

  • @Cutterwind yes just look in google

  • uhhm... :D one question !

WHat the fuck is that ?! what did i just hear?!

love his accent though ! confusssion !

  • 21 people are confused, so say we all

  • I never cared for the song until I heard this particular version on BSG, it was awesome. Now this is the only version I like.

  • have you tried copying and pasting in the url onto your wall?! Facebook should create a thumbnail of the vid along with the description by itself...

  • I hate that this video can't be embedded on facebook!!

  • @DemonHunter it can.

  • @nasovsko I've tried and it keeps saying "Embedding disabled by user"

  • LOVE THIS

  • Brilliant interpretation of "All Along the Watchtower." I love Bear McCreary's work. His BSG work is especially fantastic.

It's too bad there are so many encoding issues with the audio in this particular video. It starts out fine but once you hit the heavier, more tribal sounding parts of the track, it starts to get all distorted. That's unfortunate since I really like the visuals you chose to go with the song.

  • i feel bad for 6...she got so much shit!

  • And he is correct, Babylon 5 was a bunch of grey and Battlestar Galactica was shades of grey also. The funny thing is that this fictionally going on 150,000 years before the Earth we know it.

  • I'm sorry pawelp90 but I can't help it... I must say this to you:

as you probably already know, editing a video is not only about pictures. You failed miserably to make the sound hearable and bearable. It is overpeaked and distorted from the beginning to the end. It spoiled everything you've done with pictures.

To go through so much trouble with editing pictures and to forget about the sound,... you ruined this beautiful song.

  • I don't know why some of you seem to think the ending was poor, I personally loved it, it was a final rest from all the tense action and drama and felt fitting to leave it there... Either way, as long as we're all BSG fans, that's all that matters! Can't stop listenin to this cover even years after the series ended!

  • I can smell the hookah smoke seeping out of my computer when the Sitar solo starts in... Amazing.

  • What does Jimi Hendrix have to do with being a Cylon?.

This is a cover of a song written by Robert Zimmerman.

A very good cover, but a cover nonetheless.

  • @fionnbharro thumbs up to you for knowing bob dylans real name

  • BSG makes a lot of references to Guantanamo and the ethical issues surrounding it

  • worst ending to a sci fi series ever , i wish the ending was as good as babylon 5

  • Hendrix was not a cylon ,jackass

  • This show is great! Really intense and with great characters and plot. The ending is a bit disappointing, though, but nevertheless, a great show! As dknowledge1 said, the characters have their flaws and the intense situations often get the worst out of them. And in the end, there is no good vs evil, only sides of the same story...

  • so say we all, well done for this nice vid

  • BSG was the best and rightfully so voted the 1 sci fi tv show of all time on a poll. However, if Caprica comes back next fall, they better start picking it up a bit as they will have to compete with the new V series, which is amazing.

  • @martinf74 babylon 5 awesom too

  • @Peniscommander123 eww really?

  • funny...this looks just like LtDarkstar's video...

  • JIMI HENDRIX IS A CYLON

  • Comment removed

  • @LionelMessi1337 TRUTH!

  • What I liked about the show is how every character wasnt safe from death as was proven at the end of second season. Where ST TNG only killed off one of their main characters this show killed off several. Plus like you say the characters and villians were potrayed as shades of grey. Ronald Moore also did that in DS9, however it was more prevalent here.

  • i missed BSG

  • AUDIO QUALITY = TOTAL SHIT

There are WAY better versions of this song with the same video (pretty much all of them are better quality than this), go find 'em.

  • i still get tingles watching that

  • So say we all!!

  • very nice vid, well done

  • So say we all!

  • So say we all.

  • @GiuseppePoland so say we all

  • @GiuseppePoland so say we all!

  • @GiuseppePoland SO SAY WE ALL!

  • Loved the last episode of BSG was a bit wary that it was going to go a bit hippy with all the shot of the rivers, oceans and forests but it didn't and I really loved the idea that the Human-Cylon child was mitochondrial Eve. Couldn't tell you what happened in the last episode of Voyager which probably say it all. Not that Voyager was a bad show but BSG was at another level.

  • lol

  • So say we all...

  • so say we all!!!

  • every one has there own opinion, just be carfule who u tell it too.

  • Songs just fucking epic -every single time i hear it i still get shivers..

  • actually i found it was briliant

  • Awesome vid!

  • what a frakking great song!

  • i cant figure out what happend with Starbuck at the end, when she and Apollo talked, she just disappeared.

i know that shes not a Cylon but she burned her bones on earth,i cant figure it out!!

  • As I understood (I'm french and BSG is not easy to 100% understand for me), Starbuck was an angel and she was part of the gods plan...

  • yup,.... i will never understand, why they picked this ending.

there where soo many real good opportunities for a nice showdown.

  • There's actually been a group that has taken into consideration all that happened on the show, her being the "Harbinger of Death" and everything. The consensus from that group is that she represented Lucifer, though Lucifer IS an angel for those up on angelology.

  • Harbringer of the Apocalyse. She represents change, not destruction. An abandonment of their contemporary society.

  • She was an Angel. Pay attention.

  • she's an angel. have been ever since her return after her death in the viper explosion

  • She was an Angel/Ghost or something like that. She just didn't know it... It was really dumb honestly they could have done a better job with that.

  • what is b5 ?

  • babylon 5

  • Awesome vid

  • I think the real magic of shows like B5 and BSG was they put reality in fantasy! They used characters with character flaws and then put them in really screwed up situations and gave realistic reactions to their situations. This is how the real world works. Things weren't good and evil, right and wrong, they were dark grey! Think about it that was the underlining theme of EVERY BSG and B5 episode. That was the magic that made the shows refreshing. All the others use good guys vs bad guys.

  • Amen, don't get me wrong when I say this, since I do love Star Trek, but the happy clappy portrait of the future it painted put me off at times. BSG was so great for it's realisitc characters, but I think the way they kept the technology believeable was awesome too.

  • Whats this "Happy Clappy" future you speak of? Is it somewhere between the alien race with the soul purpose of assimilating all species into themselves?

Or is it the absoulte metric shit ton of warrior races out to cause war? Top that with the Federations passive aggressive vessels.

Maybe its fit somewhere along the lines of being shot across the universe and left to starve in hostile territory. Yeah thats real happy :)

  • Ok, I phrased that wrong, and you made that point very well. I was trying to refer to the unrealistic portrayal of humans in the future, overly ultruistic and utopian. We're inherantly tribal, greedy and warlike. I'm not going to deny the Borg, Romulans, Cardassians, Klingons or Jem'Hadar are completely badass, and indeed, made it so much better to watch.

  • @dknowledge1 It is because they are more close to being a Tragedy like the Greeks would do. Obviously they don't really follow the tragedy format but they are close.

  • @dknowledge1 what is b5?

  • @irishprice I believe b5 is in reference to babylon 5

  • it's funny you said taht because that's what killed the star trek saga, well other than enterprise that is

    @dknowledge1

  • @dknowledge1 Couldn't agree more.

  • @dknowledge1 Humans Vs Mass murdering robots? Granted maybe its wrong to call humans the good side...But those robots whur definatly the bad guys....No doubt

  • @sander4211 I'm going to disagree. Did you watch the whole series? Some of the Cylons realized their mistake. They realized what they were doing and even started helping the Humans survive. If you look into the history the show paints for us, the Humans were just as evil and the Cylons are simply attempting revenge. Justifiable action in my mind.

  • @Soljourn They whur taking revenge for the pupose they've been created. we made them to make our lifes easier and safe. thats basicly nuking heaven becouse god put us on this ball of rock zipping throu space with all these terrible horrors around. ( i'm not a fanatical beleiver mind you ) i'm just saying its stupid to go against purpose...

  • @dknowledge1 i totaly agree...with every other show (at least most) it is good vs evil but BSG was nice and refreshing with the amount of charachter flaws

  • I envy you people whom are watching Battlestar for the first time. i wish I could forget the whole series so i could watch it all over again. EXCELLENT vid by the way

  • I feel exactly the way you do. I love the series and I'd like a memory purge so I can enjoy it once again...

  • Even though a new series is in the making (something involving Adama's father, the lawyer fellow), I'd still give my left arm for more adventures involving the gang from THIS series right here.

Even though, given the ending of the last season, that's obviously impossible in every conceivable way.

  • Not entirely, It's all happened before and it could all happen again ;)

  • Cute. But I doubt it actually works like that.

I think it's more about the unending cycle of war between Man and Cylon, not the individuals being somehow reincarnated and living through the exact same experiences again and again and again.

  • Very very awesome. I don't dare read anymore comments, though. (Spoilers!) I'm only just starting season 4.

  • haha yea i did the same, but just finished watching it yesterday after finally getting both halfs of the boxset and it was awesome =D

  • who did this theme song?

  • I've found it

bear mccreary.. with the bob dylans original text..

    peace

  • Bear McCreary

  • i lov ethis video itos cool and so sweet. i so love this song and this show to

  • smcneal057:

A fascinating version of the BSG story.

What about " The Tyrell Corporation created the Replicants " ?

  • There are secrets within lies, answers within riddles. Lay off the ACS, you betcha Galen. Open your mind and hear what your heart wants to deny. End of line.

  • There are secrets within lies, answers within riddles. Do Cylons dream of electric sheep? You betcha Galen. Open your mind and hear what your heart wants to deny. End of line.

  • Hybrid time...... They musst be partially organic, & familiar with Zen koans.

  • Since you're referencing ( Kinda ) Sam Anders, did the other Cylons take him, or did the just leave him on the Galactica after the fleet reached Earth ?

That was weird how he became just like a Hybrid.

  • Spins and turns, angles and curves. The shape of dreams, half remembered. Slip the surly bonds of earth and touch the face of perfection - a perfect face, perfect lace. Find the perfect world for the end of Kara Thrace. End of line.

  • Knox he chose to stay back on the Galactica and guide it and the rest of the fleet into the sun. but yeah, freaky how he became just like a Hybrid... cool to listen to though.

  • he stayed on Galactica and piloted the entire fleet into the sun

  • michaebr:

I forgot that - He was kind of like Marcus Cole on B5, since I was drawing comparisons btwn. B5 & Galactica. Marcus Cole was in suspended animation when B5 ended.

  • What is B5?

  • bubamik:

B5 is the shorthand way of saying Babylon 5 when referring to it on the Internet, just like saying BSG = Battlestar Galactica.

  • Better yet, B5 was The Best sci-fi show to hit the tv in the 90s and completely raised the bar for future shows.

    Ahead of its time!

Any B5 fans might want to google jerry doyle - it seems Mr Garibaldi has become a talk show host! Damn good one too.

The first season of B5 was kind weak - but the other 4 are quite a ride.

  • Cmdr213:

B5 influenced some aspects of BSG, like the use of a little thing called " Continuity " & the story arc. In real life, nothing can be resolved in 45 - 50 minutes, B5 recognized that. So did BSG. Garibaldi & Saul Tigh - brothers under the skin. Garibaldi was an alcoholic who was used by the Psi - Corps, Saul Tigh was an alcoholic who discovered he was a Cylon, just an example.

  • makes you think about watching B5, doesn't it?

  • where can i get this song for my ipod

  • search bear mccreary or battlestar galactica season 3 soundtrack on itunes

  • Download a youtubeconverter by searching in google

  • SO SAY WE ALL!

  • Check my videos for studio version of All Along the Watchtower. Jimi Hendrix.

  • Brilliant cover.

  • Enorme cette musique =)

Mais je préfère sans la voie du chanteur ^^

  • Starbuck was prob a half bread as is Hara, i believe she was the daughter of Daniel #7 who was boxed. btw Great song ! much better imo than Dylan, and close second to Hendrix's Ver.

  • She wasnt a cyclon at all it turns she was actually an angel herself that everybody was seeing when you get a chance watch the last episode

  • fuk you it was awesome.

  • I dont get it, you went through all the comments. Wasted your life, to just leave that comment. I dont even know what I said, to have upset you, but it probably wasn't that bad.

  • nice

  • was baltar and caprica six really seeing reall angels?

  • yes they were, and it was glorious

  • no they were on drugs :D:D:D

  • Yes.

  • only Head Six and Head Baltar

  • adam an eve were cylons

  • They still didn't explain why Starbuck knew that song in the first place, though. Or how her father knew it. Cool song though. I prefer the instrumental.

  • Comment removed

  • What do you hear?

  • Nothing but the rain

  • Then grab your gun and bring in the cat!

  • So say we all.

  • Very cool! I think I'll name my next son Adama.

  • Awesome! So say we all.

  • I'm sad the show has ended. The story is epic. But I am glad they went with the ending they did. I still sit here and think about how everything came to be and what it all meant.

Been a long time since a show got to me in such a way. I can't wait for more BSG, in one form or another. It'll never be this good though.

  • It's just a show. Real life is better. Just remember what Shatner said... :)

But it was a fun show most of the time.

  • The last episode was weak. It left many unanswered questions. Here's a few:

How did Cavil transplant the Final Five to Colonial Space? Tigh served for over 30 years in the Colonial fleet. The Cylons broke the cease-fire first but weren't caught somehow.

There's no way the Cylons had enough materials on their base to build all those baseships and raiders.

How was Boomer able to find the fleet so easily?

Why would the centurions even want to build skin jobs only to be enslaved by them?

  • ok...cavil probaly jsut dled their minds into younger verions...not imposible considering...yes they wouldve had enough...they built this colony during the first war rember and all those raidrs and that probaly were from batttlsestars or something...that wasnt in the last episode , but probaly y tracking the rebal cylon ship...doubt ti would be hard to find with the energy it can give off...cos they wanted to evolve...to go past beign machines..and whats the enxt step?...flesh and blood

  • well i'm pretty sure they'll go into details on how the final 5 got thrown into the colonies in the upcoming BSG movie- The Plan. Keep in mind that the when the final 5 met up with the Colonial Cylons prior to the armistice, they looked relatively the same as they had when they were on the original Earth before their civil war, remember, they got resurrected after the nukes went off.

    Continued...

  • Continued...

Keep in mind that the Cylons controlled planets on their side of the Armistice Line. Some colonial worlds could have been under Cylon control, they did after all attack the hell out of Tauron during the first Cylon war. Also know Cylon technology had a biological basis seeing as how the Rebel Basestar was fully regenerated when control was given to the free-Centurions in the Finale.
