It's really good to see that people still remember Great White, unfortunately Jack Russell has left the original line up and is going out on the road as "Jack Russell's Great White". The tragedy took a tremendous toll on everyone. I can only hope that the original line up will come back.
thing is Jack is the first person to do Robert singing Led Zeppelin accurately-- what I mean is he pays attention to and executes his style tempo and feeling in a song. When Robert would stretch certain parts of a work or certain letters-- if he paused for a cerrtain amount of time or had his voice growl- whine or even get grimey at certain points he did it. and Robert would do it for meaning- depth and dramatic effect. I t worked and most that try to do Robert's voice fail at this -- great job.
This may be the finest example of a much-beloved song being covered better than the original band that popularized it. Also, the fact that it's a live acoustic performance makes it that much more incredible.

Played with the old "roundbelly" Ovation guitar. Got got two of them, and they are the best sounding guitars I've ever held. Jim Croce and his backup used them exclusively. Not used as much as they once were, which is a pity. My only criticism is that they don't sit solidly on your knee... the shape makes them want to keep sliding off, so you need to strap them even when sitting.

@romeokid69 What many people would do is put grip tap on the back of the guitar where it rested on the knee so you didn't have to use a strap. But mnpd007 is right I have also played the Ovations and they were roundbellied and hard to play sitting down.

I had an Ovation! It depends a lot on the strings you use as to their sound! It also depends as what Ovation you buy,there are cheaper ones that sound aweful! I finally bought an Ibanez which totally sound wise, and the over all feel of playing,blows my Ovation away!

No. It's Jack Russel. He is one of the only people I know that can sing Led Zeppelin tunes this well. In fact, the put out a Led Zeppelin cover album which is really good. In fact, Jack Russel can sing a lot of cover tunes quite well. His voice is very adaptive. One of my favorite singers.
