Not many people remember how that happened. We stabilized the place, left the SVN Army with enough equipment and support, and promised to keep it coming. Then Congress immediately decided to de-fund absolutely every bit of it, leaving the S Vietnamese totally fucked & easy pickings for the NV slopes.
Pretty much exactly what the Democrats are planning for Iraq and Afghanistan.
