If I recall correctly this is detachable with a bolted connection to the frame of the bike.
The welding shops here in manila often make such sidecars as seen here because there is a demand for them.
In the US this type of crude attachment would probably be seen as "very uncool" just because there are tons of very sleek looking bike accessories and styles of bikes.
Are you a Phil-American? If you have relatives here you might see if something like this could be sent to the US.
My cousin had one of those when I visited there as a kid. I went a little fast, hit a ditch, and we went flying off. I was laughing my head off as my cousin swore at me from the bottom of the ditch. Good times.

This one shown in the video was for delivering water. It seemed pretty handy and cool to ride.
Would it be as fun in the US? No, but there it's a novelty.
