It's kind of hard to say this, but Nicole is guilty for Stacy's failure. Stacy had more and more to give and she could have got to the end, but Nicole was just a bad mentor to her, wrong song choices, wrong hairstyle... Stacy really deserved this for her and her kids :(

There were plenty of winners and solo alumni of 10 seasons of American Idol, Idol worldwide, X factor worldwide but only very very few survive or last in the music industry today. Many just in silence or really faded away. They just had a short taste of the limelight. Simon Cowell is inconsistent too ever since. I really don't like this George Michael Song with Francis, she far far away and don't think got the same impression if I think about the Francis first audition. Terrible choice.
Stacey Francis - She was totally pitchy during her "Queen of the Night" performance and with that I believe she can't sing Whitney or Mariah or Celine songs greatly. I also don't like her strained voice when she sings the low notes - she mumbles. She won't sell lots of records to as church singer. Same with Leroy Bell, he's 60 already. Too old.

We all know the fact that the music industry TODAY is about good face or good styling/imaging or uniqueness as an artist whether voice or appearance or maybe a singer/composer. I am looking for longevity in the business dear and who can earn LOTS.

These producers are putting 5 million on the line + Superbowl slot and pepsi commercial. Unless over 30s category has someone like Celine Dion or Whitney Houston, there is no hope... and Simon is 100% right. That is a church song. I agree with Simon..a church singer is not a negative thing. I would not have chosen that song for her. Maybe she didn't reach the top because being a Pop Star does not compliment her voice..maybe R&B. Even if she does not win this contest it would be hard to let this talent go by. She needs to focus on her strength. Her past is her business, if it affects her continuing on this show then that was a mistake not to have shared it. WHO CARES IF SHE WAS A FAMOUS BACKUP SINGER. She may be well known in the industry but the masses do not know her. Give her a chance to shine and headline on her own. She was a backup because she had vocal skill. That kind of talent is rare. After hearing her, do her little white lies matter? Clearly, she said in the beginning she had her "opportunity" a very long time ago and it was too late for her. Yes, she's performed, had gigs, made a CD. But those things don't define her "making it". She didn't lie, she's not famous. If she had made it, wouldn't she be already famous, and not have to turn to X-Factor? You can check his old tweets on twitter from when they were still together, and how he enourages her musical career and congratulates performances she does that time.
She made a whole CD in 2008 and not one track. Even one single features BRANDY. She won't admit it's out there because she wants people to belive she hasn't tried for 12 years.

These producers are putting 5 million on the line + Superbowl slot and pepsi commercial. Unless over 30s category has someone like Celine Dion or Whitney Houston, there is no hope... and Simon is 100% right. That is a church song. Look at Stereo Hogzz, Astro, Chris Rene, or even Melanie, or Marcus. She needs tons of fan base to sell records. She is the best in over 30s, but won't win. Also, she really let me down when she missed her father's funeral just for X Factor... that is disrespect.

I agree with Simon..a church singer is not a negative thing. I would not have chosen that song for her. Maybe she didn't reach the top because being a Pop Star does not compliment her voice..maybe R&B. Even if she does not win this contest it would be hard to let this talent go by. She needs to focus on her strength. Her past is her business, if it affects her continuing on this show then that was a mistake not to have shared it. As long as she has the drive to succeed she will.

I can't help but compare unfavorably the blame others, cry frequently, phony that Stacy Francis appears to be, with the likes of co-contestant Leroy Bell, who is a gifted song stylist and seems so modest and grateful for his "second chance".
The bookmakers have realized that Stacy isn't all she originally seemed at her audition, as the odds about her winning are now a massive 30/1.
If she gets the chance to perform "Take Your Breath Away", as shown on You Tube, it will surely end her X Factor.

Try something like "Nobody's Supposed To Be Here" by Deborah Cox. That is the kinda vocals you got. Maybe "My All" by Mariah Carey. Simon didn't mean for you to sing "church songs" he meant you have a gospel kind of voice, and George Michael's "One More Try" didn't showcase it the way "Purple Rain" did.

@canossful It's fakeness. She has been very activive performing gigs, trying out in other contests. She also released a solo cd in 2008. This is not someone who has given up and has no faith in themselves. She was trying very hard.

I love Stacey's voice. It tells a story in itself. From hitting the highest of notes to the low deepness tones that she reaches..She's the whole package. Simon used the fact she's a church singer like it was a bad thing. I thought that was where most of the biggest US singers first started out!.,...I'm really enjoying this US version of the X Factor compared to the UK one, and I'm British!

Not based solely on her appearance on XFactor. That started the research. She continues to lie, and say she hasn't had any courage to work for the last 12 years. When she has.
It's wrong to lie and cheat to get to the top. And that's what she is doing.

The only reason you have now discovered this so-called successful career because she is now on X-Factor, meaning her previous career wasn't all that successful now, was it? Stacy Francis is amazing! Just simply amazing! What she does with her voice is just perfection. I completely disagree with Simon when he says shes a "church singer".
