  • Good song, but I wish I couldn't relate.

  • it turns the girl this song was based on was not really a lesbian, but merely a member of a gay-straight alliance group. the pink triangle was the group's logo

  • the very end sounds like no surprises by radiohead

  • When I sense my straight guy friends hitting on me, I tell them to go listen to this song.

  • @1Lozzix1 Lol!

  • @1Lozzix1 so.... how you doin

  • I'm in love with a straight chick. FML

  • I made with a lesbian behind the lunchroom lol it wus kinda funny

  • @supafamouskid this one girl i like turned out to be a lesbian...i still like her though

  • Anybody else's girlfriend go lesbian on them? v,v

  • I used to laugh at this song. Now it is surprisingly appropriate for whats going on in my life : \

  • the 3 dislikes are lesbians

  • This song is amazing. PRIDE x

  • one of the only 3 albums that have 100% score on metacritic

  • @gogolplex74 for a reason

  • this has to be like one of my favorate albulms

  • "Pink Triangle on her sleeve, let me know the truth, let me know the truth..."

    the truth is:

in world war 2 there in the Holocaust the nazis symbolizes jews with yellow star of davids on there chest and a pink triangle pointing down to gay people. it was for guys too not just lesbians.

  • @cruxader27 The song is about a girl he met in college who he was really into, and accidentally thought she was a lesbian because she had one on the sweater she wore to school everyday... Turns out, she wasn't a lesbian, but a gay rights activist. However, he wrote a song about the mind set he had at the time.

  • scott shriner is a good bassist and a good addition but he's no matt sharp

  • Story of my life SMH

  • pinkerton its like Rives throwing all his talent on one wave cuz I never heard from he an album so blasting and so full of genial distortions like this one !!!!

    this Weezer never came back

  • IM DONE SHE'S A LESBIAN

  • @arabting I'M DUMB SHE"S A LESBIAN

  • :D I finally get to hear this song i've been looking for it for years idk if it was just me but i finally found it and it lives up effff yeah!

  • I dated a girl for about a year ago for a little over a year and then I found out that she was cheating on me with another girl. I asked her about the rumors and she said they were lies. Slowly but surely, all the answers came out over time that she was having full on sex with this girl. I also asked her if I could join them in sex if she wanted a girl to be involved and she said no.

    F.M.L. GD.

But this song fits my story exactly which in a way is scary but fackin awesome at the same time

  • haha i have a friend that always falls in love with lesbians..poor poor guy..

  • Even though I realize how fucked up the reality of a dude falling in love with a lesbian would be , I can't help but sing along to this song almost every time I hear it.

  • @Klenchify haha no im 14, im just to young to remember the nineties

  • it kills me that i wasnt alive in the 90's, when Weezer was good.

  • 3 people pressed the dislike button.

  • STATE FARM IS THERE!!!

  • what the hell is the

  • @nocome2 bliss

  • Pinkerton: Best album of the 90s?

  • @TheOtherSuperSooner

    wrong answer; In Utero

  • @kidanthony1138 Not saying it's the best (It's my personal fave) but Mattheew Sweet's "Girlfriend" is another great one, similar to Pinkerton in it's theme.

  • @TheOtherSuperSooner second, only to the Blue album

  • @TheOtherSuperSooner Nevermind, OK Computer, Loveless, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, Slanted and Enchanted, and even Weezer's Blue Album is better

  • @fat8622 Pitchfork called, they want their "Best Albums of the 90s" list back.

  • @MehMehBear Yeah, well they'll have a hell of a time getting it back from my hipster self. That remnds me, The Soft Bulletin is better too

  • @MehMehBear pitchfork is a shit site

  • @fat8622 personally i think nevermind is just ok, by no means a classic album. i prefer pinkerton to the blue album as well. blue album is too polished, i'm definitely with you on in the aeroplane over the sea and slanted and enchanted but not sure about the other two really

  • im in love with a lesbian FML

  • @retardedgenius310 That's what brought me here.

    :(

  • @retardedgenius310 That wouldn't be a problem if you were a lesbian

  • @retardedgenius310 So am I--a Batshit Crazy One; It's not the Queer part that I mind so much--it's more the Insanity!

    :D

    F*M*L

    :(

  • @retardedgenius310 don't give up. i'm actually dead serious.

  • fuck you scott shriner. get matt sharp back in there. he helped make weezers only 2 good weezer albums

  • My friend's GF turned out to be a dyke too lol.

  • @CalebTheGuitarist awsome :D

  • so simple, yet so awesome.

  • I was at the Memories show in Chicago for Pinkerton and River was at his best vocally! He really gave us a show and the rest of the guys were on point with the jams! This song was awesome.. so was Across the Sea, Gechoo and they did Only in Dreams for the one Blue album song... incredible! i need to download that live show!! WEEEEEEEEEZER fan since 94!

  • this is the only great song with the word 'lesbian' in it that i know of

  • I cant stop starring at all those stars! WOW! They glitter

  • I THOUGHT I HEARD A SPED UP VERSION OF NO SURPRISES BY RADIOHEAD AT THE END,

    ANYONE ELSE?

  • @L337wizard Sounds very similar, but it's clearly not the No Surprises intro. I don't even think OKComputer was released at the time this was recorded.

  • @L337wizard Nah your just hearing a slowed down version of Pink Triangle by weezer.

  • well pinkerton is better then i thought, i heard it was more metalic/thrash but i like it cuz weezer is the greatest band ever

  • IMO Pinkerton always reminded me of the "behind closed doors album" or the "bastard child" album. For example, The Blue album is what a person looks like, acts like during the day in the outside world where he or she can be scene/heard. Pinkerton is what you truly are when you are home alone in your room where you can think and act like yourself with no one around to give you shit. In other words Pinkerton is like f*cking the Blue album upside down and liking it. Know what I mean? ? ?

  • @ColorsBright no...

  • @ColorsBright yes

  • matt sharp made weezer what it was, the heavy bass that weezer lacks so badly now

  • @crookedrain771 thank you. I'm glad someone else realizes it. Once Sharp left the band was like half as good. They haven't produced any classic albums since.

  • @crookedrain771 Yeah but weezer lacks a lot more than heavy bass now days lol

  • @metalzackery Yeah like good song-writing, playing, or album structure.

  • @metalzackery they lack a nut sack

  • @crookedrain771 so true.

  • @planexxjane isnt it!.. Im a big fan of matt sharp..The Rentals are great

  • @crookedrain771 Twenty eight people agree with you

  • @crookedrain771 that may be true, but everyone loves scott

  • .i dont listen to anything after pinkerton..so i dont even know scott..i didnt even know his name entill now..lol..he must be good then..if everyone loves him

  • @crookedrain771 also did you know that he sued for writing credits for both the blue album and Pinkerton (they settled out of court)

  • @drfunkeystein nope didnt know that one..

  • @drfunkeystein why did he sue after he left

  • @smashmouthrocks

He wanted dinero and recognition. Its like now that he was no longer part of the band he wanted his due share.

  • @drfunkeystein oh now it makes sense...why didnt he just join back and why did he leave in the first place

  • @crookedrain771 finally someone who knows wat matt sharp was to the group, most ppl i c commenting say that without matt sharp weezer sucks, but they never say why. heavy bass is that reason, although i do like hash pipe with mickey

  • @FirstAwesomeGamer

Dat heavy reverb and soft backing vocals

  • i think weezers only good albums were the ones with matt sharp.

  • This is without a doubt, 100%, my FAVORITE Weezer song. The rest are tied for a close second.

  • 3 people are not human

  • oh my god thier lesbians lol

  • This song just makes me giggle.

  • @CalebTheGuitarist Thank you for your insightful post. I am not a fan of Weezer's new material but fondly remember falling asleep every night to Only in Dreams when I was 14. Good memories...

  • is it true this one's about rosie odonnell

  • I don't know, it's the price of fame I guess. I also wonder if that's the pitfall, do you want to make it big or do you just want to have fun and play the music that you like? I do know that I miss the old Weezer, I miss the days of the Blue Album and Pinkerton, when it was more about what the band liked and not about what was popular.

  • This situation happened to me 2 years ago. HAHAHAHA

  • Classic.

  • this literally just happened to me.

    im dumb, shes a lesbian!

  • @cj19941222 me to

  • A song about freshmen year...

  • thumb this up if you're tired of people making stories out of song names

  • this song brings back memories! What a classic!

  • don't Better than this. Hurley defiantly reminded oh how great this album is.

    1.Pinkerton

    2.Blue

    3.Hurley

    4.Green

  • MEMORIES MAKE ME WANNA GO BACK THERE

  • Woah if you look at it really close the picture keeps going back and forth

  • 141:1 ratio!!!!!!!!

  • 2 people are seriously disturbed.

  • @phranquis 2 people are lesbians

  • @ImToldShesALesbian nah lesbians usually like this song :P

  • This is the Weezer that made my heart sing.

  • good intro

  • is weezer a hipster band? yes/no and why

  • @DustyWulf1 No. They are too popular with the general public and don't really have the hipster sound. And if you considered them even a little "hipster" they are the original hipsters.

  • I think rivers is just a different guy now. His music has therefore changed.

in his mind, he cant stop partying because hes the greatest man that ever lived in beverly hills, and has memories of eating pork and beans.

Its not like hes in the garage with no one else, asking buddy holly what the good life is like... Only in dreams would he have ever dreamed of such a holiday as the one hes got now. I mean why bother going across the sea for a butterfly when your tired of sex?

    know what i mean?

  • @CalebTheGuitarist say it ain't so! I guess the world has turned and left me here.

  • @CalebTheGuitarist

    Fucking end yourself. Right. Now.

  • @CalebTheGuitarist why bother going back to the good life when everyone is a little queer?

  • @CalebTheGuitarist

    Well done :D I <3 you.

  • @CalebTheGuitarist i want to add as a note...

when someone changes there emotions change and there personality.

when someones emotions change ...especially an artist so does there work.

music is all emotion poetry and personality.

  • @CalebTheGuitarist living in his island in the sun during december. he has no ther one to look for..

  • @CalebTheGuitarist Puffing on his hash pipe, eating a crab, being a troublemaker, trying to surf wax america and being across the sea from everyone, cant be a perfect situation

  • @CalebTheGuitarist And comment of the year go's too.....

  • @CalebTheGuitarist only true weezer fans thumbs up this :)

  • @CalebTheGuitarist well why does everyone go straight to Rivers for this? im just wandering. mybrother just saw them live and he said it was the best show ehes ever been to. and he has been to a lot of classic and good shows that everyone would like. I dont really think its all Rivers

  • @CalebTheGuitarist I came when I read that lol

  • @CalebTheGuitarist say it ain't so D:

  • @CalebTheGuitarist that was the most awesomest thing i've ever red

  • @CalebTheGuitarist That was the best fucking comment I have ever read in my life.

  • @CalebTheGuitarist oh wow, quite the poet.do we go to you for weezer references from now on?

  • @CalebTheGuitarist You are amazing.

  • @CalebTheGuitarist Awesome letter you nailed it

  • @CalebTheGuitarist i know exactly what ya mean!!!!!! hahahaha

  • @CalebTheGuitarist why is this so popular? all you are doing is incorporating song titles into a sentence fracture. YOU ARE SO TALENTED

  • @Boothenson LOL wow 200+ thumbs up. im a rockstar arent i

  • @Boothenson Better than "bieber came here and disliked it" or "3 people got rejected by a lesbian" or some other total bullshit dumb response

  • @Boothenson Because its absolutely true. not only is it true, but ive incorporated all of his early songs to describe his early personality, and his recent and current songs to describe is current personality.

  • @SpartanicalSystem eh, i live in brooklyn (a very very hipster area in brooklyn) and i wouldnt consider weezer a hipster band. i agree, they are too popular, and if anything, hipsters hate popular music.

  • @thewilliam206 i live in brooklyn too but a small town in connecticut right next to where Rivers grew up WOOOOOO!!!!

  • favourite on Pinkerton1

  • As had been said many times before, yup, this song is totally relevant to me. Or was. I'm over her :D

  • Lesbians have a valid reason for not liking me more than a friend.

  • @kingal30 thats screwed up

  • Great song. When I listened to this album all the time in the late 90s, I always thought "might have smoked a few in my time, never thought it was a crime" meant dope smoking. Years later I understood he was talking about blowing dudes. It was Ween that brought the concept of dick "smoking" to my attention.

  • favorite weezer song

  • lol this song makes me smile... : D <--- JUST LIKE THIS

  • one person's a lesbian

  • @blindgirlsdigme now two people are lesbians, maybe they can get together?

  • I'm Dumb shes a lesbian!

  • @TrippyJellyfish yea we heard him

  • this was a song back when to be a sucsessful artis you had to know how to sing and when songs meant something...

    you kids wouldnt understand

  • @Fluffefan There are still good songs, just not as many...

  • I think one person needs a hug.....

  • this song is really fucking addictive!!!

  • Pinkerton. Deluxe Edition. November 2nd. Get it. Nuff said.

  • Pinkerton had trouble with the critics? That's my sign that there's a gem to be found. Critics usually have trouble with greatness.

  • @johnnydepth76 so so true

  • @johnnydepth76 No, I don't think they did. All their reviews from major Magazines and such were stupendous. Rolling Stone named it 5*

  • @MileswillDo the later reviews were great just to suck up to the cult status of the album but the initial reviews were real harsh on the band.

  • @johnnydepth76 Yeah good music comes from inside i could imagine what he felt when made it and critics said it was bad :(

  • @johnnydepth76 pitchfork gave pinkerton a 10.0

  • @johnnydepth76

Trouble with critics, yeah right. You serious?

  • @revolutiongeorge When it was first released, yes it was highly put down by critics. But by 2008, everyone gave it a new review with the release of the delux edition of the album.

  • @ThePabo read the 'Reception' section on wikipedia, this album was hailed as genius when it first released

  • @revolutiongeorge It says it had mixed reviews >.> The album received heavy criticism — most notably by Rob O'Connor's review for Rolling Stone, who called the songwriting "juvenile" and described the song "Tired of Sex" as "aimless".[66] In addition to the negative review, the readers of the magazine named the album the second worst of 1996 - I know that's just one reviewer, but the fact that the readers voted for it as one of the worst in '96 just proves an even bigger point to..idk lol.

  • @ThePabo This album rocks pretty well, so i think those rolling stones people have downs syndrome. Pinkerton and Blue album are two of the best albums I've heard ever. Thats saying a lot. For all that i know thats the only two weezer has made(everyhting else sucks LOLZ) :P

  • @bjbjbzz Yeah, they probably do, and that's why I never listen to music critics! I buy whatever album I want, and listen to whatever I want without having to listen to their critiques. And I don't think EVERY song they've made after these albums were BAD. Sure, most people don't prefer/hate all of their later albums, but I mean, at least they have some pretty songs on their later albums! Idk if you'd agree with me, but that's just how I feel.

  • @ThePabo Yeah they had a few here or there in their newer albums I never said they didn't. I was judging on overall albums. I just think it's a shame they went form making 10 to 11 good songs on their Cds, to where they're at now, making like 2 or 3 good songs.

  • Comment removed

  • @ThePabo look on metacritic. Thats some pretty high scores on there.

  • @revolutiongeorge Yeah, I know. I'm just saying that it is true that at first, the album had many mixed feelings. Of course, as years pass on and they see the influence this album had on so many bands and music, they think twice about their reviews. And that's also why I never listen to critics.

  • @ThePabo oh, fuck you!

  • God I forget how catchy this song is!

Weezer forever! I'm sad that Pinkerton didn't work out so well, I thought it kicked ass.

  • Seth Johnson of The CoxJohnsonConnection digs this Weezer song.
