(Crocetti) get on there?
I guess Frankie just wanted to add a personnel touch to his version.

Perhaps Nashville was more open to accepting pop singers who had "WASP" backgrounds than urban ethnics from Chicago with names like Lovecchio.
BTW-- I love the way Frankie changed the TV show that was playing from "Ironsides" in the Tom T. Hall rendition to "Rawhide"!

no they couldn't. but if you look in the book
of "Top 40 Country Hits" by Joel Whitburg, there are several Pop singers of that period listed in it.
